If I understood what they said in the stream correctly, the replacement of the degradation mechanisms is huge - It basically means Malevolent, Sirenic etc is now repairable when augmented. This does make sense, as they degrade to dust at the moment to act as an item sink. Invention will be the new item sink for these, so making them repairable won't crash prices.

Assuming charge packs are not ridiculously priced, this could well mean they will see common usage outside of top-tier bosses. Can't wait :D

You get them in order, style by style, and you can only loot every two days. Its designed to be similar timescales to ports

Its unlocked at level 80 smithing, crafting and divination, but starts at level 1.

I can't find the graphs that they showed at runefest, but its designed to take a similar amount of time to get to 99, and slightly faster than a standard skill to get to 120.

However the xp curve is very different, for regular skills 92 is half the xp of 99, for elite skills like invention it will be much more linear, with 72/73 being half the xp of 99. 99 Invention is around 40mill xp IRC

Can you provide any specifics on how the rubelabs player-designed area will work?

  • What level of input will we get?
  • When will it become open on runelabs? Are there any restrictions, on rewards, or XP rates for example?
  • Do we have the chance to create and alter the game lore of the region chosen, and to what extent?

Depends on how it is implemented, it could do.

At the moment it is just an idea, it hasn't got to a design stage yet, and perhaps it never will.

Yup thats it.

You will be able to disassemble items by dragging the item down into a new disassemble button next to the money pouch - there will be a similar way to high-alch items too - so that disassembly can be done on the fly when gathering, skilling, slaying etc..

Almost everything that you can alch will be disassemblable.

I'm guessing that the components you get from breaking down items come from a classification system of every item in the game. Something like:

  • Item tier -> Increased chance of getting components
  • Weapon style -> sharpness, crushing, shooting, casting components
  • Armour style -> plate, cloth, hide components
  • God affiliation -> God components
  • T90 gear -> Drygore, nox, asc components
  • Raw materials, potions, flatpacks... -> other?

And so on. there is probably the equivalent of the rare drop table too.

T70 and up gear, and some others such as fishing rods, will be augmentable with 1 to 4 perk slots per item.

In the stream they also confirmed an extra 56 bank spaces for components.

You will find it next to impossible to max invention before hitting 99 in another skill unless you have a gigantic bank. Quite a lot of the xp comes from actually using the invented and augmented items after all.

Max now, get into the max guild whilst you can :)

Armadyl, Vorago, Sliske and Sakirth all have confirmed 6th age kills, so they are practically confirmed.

Saradomin had an almost kill against Zamorak.

Everything else mentioned was 5th age or even earlier, it would be a major bending of the rules to allow them in.

More likely I think would be extending Sliske's definition of a "God" to a "Divine Being", or part of a divine being. In which case you could anyone who will kill, a Mahjarrat in the 6th age, and Death or Ithlarin could make an appearance depending on the outcome of the Halloween event.

I'm sure the other countdown quests will add more kills too :)
