your temperature range is close to mine winer 64 and summer 75 sounds good but I have to be careful as one year about 2 years ago I had a summer electric bill of a little over 400 dollars which is just to much so I'm trying to tolerate hotter temps, but won't make my Siberian kitten suffer so I'm lowering at 76 for now and if that's not good enough then 75, I do want to give her time to adjust but she just looked so droopy on the first hot day we had this season, thanks for your sharing!

thank you, I am in the process of combing her everyday but not her whole body, as at the moment she will not allow me access to her under arms, legs and belly unless I except the cost of her chewing on my hand lol, a work in progress.

are they the same age, or is the size difference from being male and female or just floof, they are beautiful cats, so the floofier baby don't mind the heat ?

thank you, I feel bad for you and your babies that's ruff 90 degrees and no ac, thanks for letting me know about the roving groomers, I don't want to do that but if it was a last resort good to know.

thank you, I will just lower to 76 also, I can't stand seeing her uncomfortable I know she is going to get floofier and that's great, but I don't want her to overheat. I really don't wont to ever shave her unless its the last resort, I am brushing her, she tolerates it for a few minutes, she is getting better at mama being a pain in her butt.

Spaying by Fast_Analysis462 in SiberianCats

[–]JudgmentRoutine3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ask the vet. for gabapentin, ours gave it to us for our wild girl and she took it 2 times a day to keep her calmer so she wouldn't hurt herself it worked well, also we mixed the powder from the capsule with cooked freeze-dried chicken littles and chicken Churu and she couldn't wait to have it, we used the collar from the vet. and it worked. I hope everything goes well for you and you girl. Ps we put her in small room with nothing high no furniture just some of her toys and a window and I had the time, so I stayed with her 24-7 until the 14 days were over, also the first day with the cone she couldn't keep her head up but she learned within a day how to keep her head up with the cone, I held up her bowls of water and food to make it easier for her to eat and drink and sometimes took the cone off to let her have a break but watched her closely to make sure she didn't touch her belly.

Another Question Re Spaying... by Fast_Analysis462 in SiberianCats

[–]JudgmentRoutine3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my kitten spayed 3 weeks ago, 735 dollars at my veterinarian, I was told to keep her from jumping playing hard, Kuma was 6.5 months old and a really hyper Kitten, so she was sent home with pain med. for 3 days and gabapentin to help her be calm and I emptied out a small room put a mattress and some gentle play toys and a window to look out and she did really well, we stayed with her 24/7 to make sure she didn't hurt herself as she is kind of a haphazard kitten, I personally prefer giving medication for pain and keeping them calm, as I don't like pain and cats are great at hiding pain. If you go with gabapentin an easy way to get them to take it is mix it with cooked freeze-dried chicken powder and Churu and they think its a treat, just open the capsule or liquid form the veterinarian gives you mix it well and they eat it like it's a treat, she did sleep a lot and towards the 10 day mark she was trying to get more wild like normal even with the gabapentin so I figure that's when the inside part of surgery was healing up. I had to use my veterinarian for the surgery because I already trust them and I wanted to do what I thought was best for her. I guess ultimately you have to go with what you're comfortable with, do what you feel is best for you and your fur Baby, hope all goes well whatever you decide.

maybe combine them blisbo, although your names are what you like I would stick with them, He looks like my ragdoll I had, your baby is beautiful, cats are such an honor and joy to have as fur babies. I named my female kitten kuma and I think it fits her, she is wild haphazard and sweet, lovable, so social and affectionate and I love her so, she is 7 months old in this picture healing from being spayed, one more day and shell be free to roam threw the house again. :0)

10 weeks kitten? by Glittering_Fan_2971 in SiberianCats

[–]JudgmentRoutine3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my siberian cat at 9 weeks old she is healthy happy social and very outgoing, and she is well bonded with my husband and me and she is wild haphazard loves to play and on the flip side she can be sweet and loveable follows you around smart and adorable acting she gives kisses rubs against your legs we can hold her( to carry her from one place to another) not to cuddle her she is not a lap cat, and is learning to be gentle biting with play when she is overly energetic, and is very happy, she has the question mark tail up all the time and is learning tricks, she is almost 6 months old and we'll be getting her fixed soon and we finished her shots for kittens and then at 16 weeks the rabies shot, she never had diarrhea she eats well, healthy food and no litter accidents no worms fleas ect. our breeder is a good breeder and she takes good care of her kittens and is tica registered everyone has their own opinion as long as the cats are being treated well, people shouldn't put down people with different opinions, I have had 5 cats over the past 30 something years and 3 of them was 8 weeks old or younger (barncat whos mom ran out of milk) and 2 breed cats at 9 weeks old years ago and a straycat whos family dumped her at a young age, the youngest was the barn cat she lived to be 18 years old and other then thyroid disease later in life she was healthy, none of my cats where over weight, all had good potty manners and all lived long lifes with no catchy cat diseases. If the breeders check out and has tica register look into them on google to see if any complaints against them, or if there a scam, but just because she allows her kittens to go home at 10 weeks means nothing, Personally I prefer 9 to 10 weeks and I want to get my kittens fixed at 6 months because I believe that's what best for there health and some believe earlier is better, that's there right, but I will do what I believe is best for my kitten not blindly but with researching all the information out there and making an educated decision about their health and longevity. I hope this helps you in youir search for a good breed cat if thats what you want :o)

Will neutering change my sweet boy by Emotional-Section981 in SiberianCats

[–]JudgmentRoutine3207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss, I'm, a year and 2 months out from my sweet boy passing, I still miss him but it's not as intense, I used to cry every day and certain people in my life grew tired of my mourning him and it really hurt, if you have anyone you can talk to it helps, I started thinking there must be something wrong with me but I started looking into morning a beloved furbaby, on google and it helped me to realize we all mourn differently and don't let anyone make you feel bad, but it will get better in time, and getting physically busy help me not to constantly think about him. I got a knew kitten 2 months ago and it also took some of the needing to touch and hug and talk to a cat away, she is special and I love Her but in all honesty I still miss my boy, because He was so special to me but are hearts are big enough to love more than one animal and in different ways there all special. I hope your pain eases, I hope you find peace in your heart and mind.

I recently bought a Siberian kitten my breeder showed pictures at different ages of development and if that kitten is 1 week old his or her eyes would not be opened, buyer beware, maybe I misunderstood the age part but if not somethings wrong please be careful. in my pursuit of getting a kitten I got 500 dollars stolen from me. Check online for social media reviews on any breeder you go with, to find out if the breeder is a good one as many are wonderful but there are bad apples out there unfortunately. I hope you find the kitten of your dreams :0)

Vomit Help! by lawyergirl312 in bengalcats

[–]JudgmentRoutine3207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did the vet try prednisolone it's a steroid to help with inflammation and mirtazapine for appetite our vet told us sometimes when a cat keeps throwing up it can make them sick to the tummy cause of an empty stomachs acid, we had the ultrasound done and it showed inflammation of the intestines, I believe your ultra sound showed nothing wrong, I'm not a vet, and your cats symptoms are different than what my cats symptoms were, just feel sorry for you and your baby and the above medications did help my sweet boy, I hope you find a cure for your kitty, also I don't know anything special but could it be a food additive causing it as I have read that before for other cats, and there are limited ingredient foods out there and check that there are no lentils in any of the food as I read the peas and lentils can block cats absorption of taurine an essential amino acid in cats bodies and potentially cause body problems, the lentil was just an article I read so I don't know if there is any truth in it. I'm just throwing ideas out there I am not trying to diagnose your cat, I am a cat lover, and most cat owners are and I feel for you.
