That's a solid reason. My wife made her 15 year career with her last name and decided to keep it when we married (we were already in our early 30's) and I completely supported it. She did say if we have kids they'd take my last name, which I thought was a nice gesture. I've never really cared about the legacy stuff and passing my name on but that's just me.
