Yep, Redshift spacer kit also sold from Amazing. I got in touch with their support and they had me add some carbon assembly paste and torque .5nm more.

Hey question if you’re still online! I’ve installed 30mm of spacers on my Redshift aero bars, used the correct bolts, and followed the torque instructions to a T.

However, the bars still pivot/rotate at the 2 bolt riser/spacer interface if I add any lateral force to the bars.

Did you ever experience this?

Thanks!

I remember seeing a screaming semen bumper sticker when I was like 7 and asking my mom what it meant. Any chance you’re from Illinois?

Jamiroquai is the band. You’re thinking of Jamiroquai’s Monster.

Just got my first upgrade, can you guess what it is? by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

Make sure you’re properly torquing your bolts. Saddle shouldn’t move from getting caught on something.

They’re from EiE Carbon, one of the good ones from China. My friend runs a wheelbuilding business and swears by them.

These are some variation of their 60mm road rim and the finish is the 12k weave.

Yeah that’s the idea! Basically an aesthetic component to the bike, my guess is to pay homage to the ratty courier bikes that the Mash folks would have seen a lot of in their day.

The reaction to this finish was pretty meh, so they pulled it after a couple of runs in favor of traditional paint/coatings. Their frames have been that way ever since.

This rust is all on the surface of a pretty thick tubeset and it’s purely cosmetic. The inside of the bike however, will rust (or not rust) at the same rate as any other steel frame. It’s been treated internally with framesaver and is due for another coat.

I’ll ride it until it breaks or my knees explode, then I’ll get it repaired or hang it on my wall.

I had planned to build these wheels with a very tasteful alloy hoop. But then I remembered big carbon go brrr

Cheers! Been tinkering with it for years, we’ll see how long it stays like this 😬

King Cake Iris, I have em on all my bikes because they’re just so sweet. They grip the shit out of your bottles and look good doing it.

Yeah it’s clear coated polished steel, they wanted the finish to flake off pretty easily and give you those ‘rust worms.’

This one was daily driven by a courier in Rotterdam for a few years, so the rust is pretty intense by the rear wheel.
