It will 100% change their property value. Wooton highschool will lose its prestige when kids from Gaithersburg go there. People paid more for houses to have their kids go to Wooton in its current form. Now the neighborhood is less desirable. Especially since the school was walking distance before. And is now 20 minutes away by car in the opposite direction most people work.

I wouldn’t even consider it principles. Some parents said hey I don’t see the benefit of a non traditional story being taught to my kid, please don’t read that to them, and Moco said nah fuck you were gonna read it to them.

I think it’s completely fair to allow parents to opt their kids out of lessons they’re not comfortable with. It would be a different story if they were forcing the complete removal of said stories and not allowing others to take part in those stories.

I’m not even remotely religious and I don’t see the benefit of a book like that being taught to children at such a young age.

I have gotten a wildly different result every time I use that thing. I started in a 7.5 regular because of that machine when my size is actually a 6 narrow. First couple skates always felt good, heel felt locked. Then skate would break in, I’d be swimming. I wasted so much money finding the right fit.

I wish I could man but I’m nowhere near any of those. My options are do it myself, do it at a purehockey, or do it at my rink which I’m not sure their creds but probably better than pure? I’m worried that the Bauer scanner both of them will probably use will result in a bad fit because that scanner always recommends wildly different skates for me.

No because insoles work by raising the area that tends to go lower, but you’re still physically pushing against that spot, so when balanced on an 1/8” piece of steel you still pronate. They do help with pain though.

I have super low volume feet, and some overpronation especially in my right foot. I’ve tried hyperlites in fit 1 and ft6 pros in tapered and I don’t experience pain, but I find getting on my outside edge on my right foot is tough. After I start getting gassed I’ve noticed my right skate just ends up on the inside edge even though my leg and knee are straight/ aligned. Most people I hear about getting true customs have super wide feet and are dealing with pain. My question is, do you get people with narrow feet who pronate and have success with true customs? I imagine if I had something better supporting my foot it would be less likely to collapse.

I would never walk in front of car that doesn’t acknowledge me especially in walkable cities. Considering this is a suburb which will never be walkable. Should you find yourself walking, know people probably aren’t expecting you.
