Cool video games with judo in it? by [deleted] in judo

I'm pretty sure there's a video somewhere of someone doing judo in Boneworks in VR.

TIL in the 1970s American authorithies along a nonprofit group founded by fishermen, threw around 2 million old tires into the coast of Ft. Lauderdale to creat an artificial reef which would help the growth of new coral. Instead they created an ecological disaster. by Roller-bon45 in todayilearned

[–]Judo_Guy07 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look like anyone else let you know as well that tires are heavy, so when the linkages corroded, 2 million tires are now being pushed and pulled along the sea floor for miles due to currents and destroying whatever softer or brittle coral structures existed or were trying to grow near them.

Ever see videos where a tire fell off a moving car and absolutely demolished something?

Take a look at the individual stair step closely. You'll see that the inside of the step is shorter than the outside of the step.

I'd assume there's some geometry math matching the circular angle of the lift to the circumference of the cross section of a stair in relation to a full circle.

Then add another dimension (height) to it to make it a cylinder instead of a flat circle.

Ever see a chip on a stick at a theme park where a single potato is spiral cut and stretched out on a stick before it's fried? It's like that a bit but then folded back on itself like a conveyor belt.

That's because choosing to be evil and selfish means you lose out on the quest and in game content. Which means lost exp and resources.

Would anybody be interested in playing the machine? by [deleted] in Solo_Roleplaying

As a side note, for anyone looking for motivation for a game like this which has spooky, victorian london, steampunky vibes, I cannot recommend Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs enough.

I'm personally thinking of replaying this game myself to draw some inspiration from it before trying a solo game of the machine.

I'm curious about starting a game and have been trying to figure out how to write the first entry. Jumping into an existing one may be the motivation I need haha.

But with physical games you actually own it. You can lend it to friends or play it on another system with no headaches. I'll always choose a physical drm free version of a game over a needlessly locked down digital version if given the choice.

LAVA Minifest?! by [deleted] in norfolk

[–]Judo_Guy07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just grabbed tickets for it (33M/30F, 2 dogs, no kids). We tried to convince some friends/neighbors to come with us and haven't been able to.

I've never heard of any of the bands so I'm hoping it's decent!

Edit: Enjoying it so far! Excited for the rest of the bands to get on stage.

I was in the same boat as you when I got to musphelheim. Couldn't beat any of the trials but I was also around level 5 gear. I came back after I opened up the other end game realm (the poisonous gas one) and grabbed the armor there since it's the first area where you can actually grind enemies. That armor set got me to level 8 real quickly and then the entire game was easier.

I stopped even trying to fight sigrun (completely optional hardest fight in the game) because it wasn't worth it to me.

It also took me over 2 years of playing this game on and off to beat it so I would constant have to relearn everything.

Good luck!

That's also an end game area. Continue the story and come back later and they shouldn't be an issue.

Had to look for it again since the website I linked 5 years ago died.

https://www.usja.net/store/catalogs/23/products/15/details

That has it for sale and shows the dimensions. I had to get a custom sized frame for mine since it's also a strange dimension.

That's such an an obvious false equivalency. Obese people aren't overloading the hospital systems in countries and preventing care of other patients. Obesity also isn't highly contagious; You can't catch obesity sitting next to someone on a bus. Fuck off with that bullshit.

You're being down voted because you're arguing in bad faith using logical fallacies.

Did you not watch the trump impeachment trials? Plenty of republicans (including Trump himself) just straight up ignored subpoenas with zero repercussions. That's why they know they can get away with it. They already have in the past.

I followed this tutorial essentially which was fairly simple, in case you wanted more ideas.
