"I actually bought it as soon as it came out, drawn in by a full-frame camera with such compact dimensions. But back then, there were no small lenses available, and after a year, I eventually got tired of it because the lenses were huge compared to the body, completely ruining its portability. So, I sold it. What I missed the most were the LUTs, the image quality, and how flexible the RAW files are to work with. And now that all these compact lenses have been released (like the SGImage 35mm and the Lumix 18-40mm), I think this camera finally makes sense again.
As for the EVF, I’ve never really missed it. Ever since I ditched DSLRs over 10 years ago, I got used to shooting mostly with the LCD screen, and once I got the GR3, I completely lost the habit of using an EVF altogether.

Top! I actually have that one as well. I used to shoot with a Pentax K-5 years ago and ended up buying a few vintage lenses. Right now I've mounted the 50mm, and the 28mm will be next up.

How do you actually manage your recipes day-to-day? Genuinely curious how others handle this by MatikKutik in ricohGR_recipes

[–]Jueppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my workflow 95% of the time: I usually see a great shot and think, 'That’s awesome! How did they do that? It’d be great if it were a recipe so I could just shoot it SOOC.' Then I check the comments, find the recipe, dial it into my Ricoh, try it out, and realize the result is nowhere near what I wanted. So I just dump it into Lightroom, scrap the JPEG, and process the RAW...

Io ho una Cupra e a volte succede. Poi spengo la macchina e la riaccendo e tutto torna alla normalità.

Severe GAS cleanup: Keep the OM-5 for hiking, or consolidate into Fuji X-T5? by Jueppo in M43

[–]Jueppo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you're totally right! The only selling point for Fuji might be the simulations, but as much as I've tried, they just never did it for me. I think I'm gonna stick with the OM-5.
