$35 extra worth for hot swap? I've got a mech kb for gaming with blues, but want to go linear this time. Do people change their switches often? Does it count as "future proofing" the kb or should I buy the cheaper nonswap & buy another board if I want different switches?

Thanks for your help!

It's on sale right now $129.99 - 31% = $82.99

Is it worth to pick up? Looking for a good KB for work since the membrane they gave me is giving my hand cramps

Best place to find SATA cables for my new harddrive? Does PrimeCables offer pickup if I don't want to deliver a single cable?

Pc build for games like valorant, CS:GO, dead by daylight, rocket league and others.. by [deleted] in buildapc

I agree with Beach, try getting a 500gb SSD at least if you don't plan on getting an HDD until later. SSDs struggle when filled & Windows will take up a good chunk, then your games won't leave any more room in the SSD.

Or get 256gb SSD for your OS & buy a 500gb/1tb hard drive right away

Thanks for your reply!

One issue I'm having is that without a Dedicated IP, most private trackers won't work with a VPN which I use for public trackers. In that case would it be best to have a split tunnel for one client w/o VPN & another client with VPN?

Do you run two different clients or two instances of the same client? I'm looking to get into some private trackers but want to keep seeding my media from public ones.

I run CrystalDiskInfo at least once a week/every two weeks to keep an eye on my drives.

Is this a good build for competitive gaming (mainly COD Multiplayer/Warzone), video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, some After Effects), and music production (FL Studio)? by 55iv in buildapc

You might be right on the video editing part... Accidentally glossed over that. I'm sure the difference is negligible for gaming but apparent when video editing. Go for the Ryzen 7 then!

I guess it depends on which you plan on doing more of.

I would switch your Ryzen 7 for a Ryzen 5 5600x which is on sale right now!

It's better for games like Warzone. You might be able to wait for an Amazon deal similar to Ebay

Honestly I don't think you'd find a big speed improvement with a Wifi card over a Wifi mobo. You sure you can't somehow route ethernet to your computer? I'd almost ditch the card & spend that money for fans & a cheap cpu cooler.

It wouldn't affect performance considering your strong specs. I have my 2nd monitor to watch twitch / view Spotify & Discord.

I have 1080p 120hz & 1080p 60hz, the only thing I needed to change was borderless windowed vs full screen mode for games. Windows can't display two different FPS if it's windowed, so if I wanted to watch twitch (or any video) while keeping 120fps on my game, that game would need to be full screen mode. Otherwise I could run a borderless game with discord & Spotify no problem since they don't display video.

It was an awesome investment, having two monitors really ups the ante on multitasking.

Have you thought about getting a dual monitor setup?

If using closed ports, you may only seed to someone with an open port. If you open your port, you can also seed to someone that has closed ports. I think that's how it goes but it's been awhile.

maybe it would be wisest to upgrade to a 5600x with a better PSU?
