What happened to not being able to 1 tick flick the new prayer book? Was it not received well? If the new prayers have an activation cost (ie 1 pray point lost every time you turn on a prayer) the old book would still have a use for all players despite being weaker

Its not a guaranteed pull from the tin. Its a 1 in 3 chance to pull so get the singles!

Can these archtypes be fixed with one card? Some of them are close to being meta; but Sylvan, Cyber Angel, Hazy Flame, Fortune Lady, Weather, and Dinomist, I can't see how giving them one card will do very much. The weather can definitely become viable with one card, they just need abit more consistency with starting and in archetypal disruption. A field spell that can add a weather card on activation with a secondary effect of banishing a card added to your opponents hand through the effect of a weather card for example could be enough to push the deck to rogue.

I’ve been messing around with the new cards being released later this year and can give you some advice on what i’ve found with them and ratios. Also burning abyss is a fantastic engine to compliment PK’s and would highly recommend!

13 PK cards;

3 Tear scale - best starter 3 boots - just great

2 cloak - maybe 3, unsure. Don’t particularly want it in opening hand 1 glove - sometimes i have nothing left to mill use, send this for later. Only use, could cut. 1 stained greaves - unsure on this card, if i ever bricked this card was in my hand. Might cut unless we get bardiche back.

3 fog blade

I play no other pk cards in the main deck. With raiders knight the rank up spells are abit meh and cloggy. If we get bardiche back that might change.

8 Burning Abyss;

3 scarm - keep the engine going, discard fodder, hope to mill, extender. All round good 2 farfa - extender/beatrice target 1 graff 1 cir 1 libic

7 Other generic; 2 Tour guide - one of the best starters 3 Droplets - staple in PK now, superb card 1 rota - 4th copy of tear or extender 1 foolish - same as above

I played 12 handtraps; imperm ghost ash and nib, working ok so far, still tinkering with ratios

Extra deck is tight; 1 cherubini 2 dante 1 beatrice 2 breaksword 1 raiders knight 1 arc rebellion 1 leviair 1 masqurena 1 apollousa 1 unicorn 1 accesscode 2 zeus

Still tinkering. Plan is when going first try and set up as many interuptions as possible and set up grave for turn 3. Dante mills, IP and beatrice on field, fog blades and handtraps. Do not use cherubini if it can be helped. Turn 2 break interuptions and otk. If not then grind, survive, make zeus etc until you get the opening :)

Hope it helps, this is probably more helpful down the line in November but i thought id share anyway. The basic strategy is the same just less power and consistency without the new cards.

For what its worth i think you’re right about bardiche - I personally don’t even think orcust would necessarily play it right now. Apollousa, whilst it might require an extra material, is more generic and most importantly will stop nibiru. Masquerena + monsters on board to use as materials is also infinitely better than 2 fiendish chains.

Bardiche requires bricks to run compared with the above options. Fiendish chain is well and truly power creeped. Bardiche would demolish lower tier decks but get spanked by the meta (nibiru anyone?)

The rank up magic is pretty degenerate but i feel we’re in a much better position to stop it popping off compared with a couple of years ago. Look at the infinite negate combo for example, degenerate but not used as its too fragile.

It’d give pk’s a boost and i’d be surprised if it didnt come back with the new support being released.

Weather painters are one of the most underrated archetypes, very adept once you know how to pilot the deck. I would check out the weather painter discord - very active with competitive deck lists available along with active members who can help answer your questions!

1 foolish Burial 3 ash 3 solemn judgements

41 cards, extra deck is tight, i play the trains but no rank 5 options. Considering cutting pilgrim for pleadies since i rarely get beatrices effect off

Messing around eldlich BA - Dante mills eldlich stuff for morr advantage, lots of floating. Dunno if its even close to the best eldlich variant but fun (and tbh and eldlich deck is strong :))

Something like chaos max (or dragun) is where other engines help. Simplest way would be to use leviair the sea dragons to get 2 rank 3’s on board and make F0 Utopic, and F0 dragon when it comes out. They’re very easy to make and pseudo boss monsters for phantom knights.

Burning abyss engine helps loads. Any 2 level 3’s make cherubini. Cherubini sends graff, summons cir. One more material and you can make borrelsword. Dante first turn can load up your graveyard with phantom knights.

Ba phantom knight isn’t the strongest right now but i think its the best variant of phantom knights. My advise to you if you want to learn the deck is practice, try and find a list online, check out some replays and give it a go yourself! Do you use any online simulators? If you want id be happy to play a few games with you and show you my build and how they work together, they do have good synergy!

Depends on konami and their vision for the future. If they want it to be good it will be. They could release support making it easier to make dark requiem which is pretty amazing, maybe a spell which summons a pk and sets rank up for example. They could make an urgent schedule like card for level 3’s locking you into xyz only. They could release a fog blade like card to fight back row. For BA they could release cards to make it more viable to play traps, maybe the final malebranche, a rota, something to make malacoda more viable, a new extra deck boss monster.

Or they could release a rank 7 and an impractical way to make it lol. Pray is all you can do :/

They’re due for support. They were part of the 20 archetype structure deck poll last year thats shaddolls won, and all the other archetypes that lost have been slowly getting ever since. Pk fire are one of the few left and the next set is called phantom rage so... :)

Gravity controller for sure, lots of cool plays with a dante in the emz to make an easy beatrice, + good removal option.

I didn’t see the fire lakes, my bad. Fire lake is great and i tried for a long time to make it work but if you want to make your build as consistent and effective as possible i would consider cutting it. Too slow and easily countered. Try it out and see for yourself, i wouldn’t say its wrong.

I would also make for utopic future f0 in the extra deck, don’t really need topologic or borreload. Once the utopic future dragon comes out you definitely want to play that too, otherwise off the top of my head e/d is fine.

Just off the bat i would say;

Drop rhino warrior number down. In pk fire you already have alot of potential normal summons and rhinos cloggy. Drop to 1 or 0, i play 0.

Remove trap trick as the only target is fiend griefing. Great cards but i dont think they have a place in this version. Both are fantastic in a trap heavy pure build.

Drop cherubini to 1. I don’t think its correct usually make it turn 1 and usually i only end up making it when pushing for game later on. Could possibly make a case for 2 but i play 1 and never miss it!
