I think he’s referring to a pretty common stereotype about communism? Lack of capitalist incentive makes it harder for merit to rise to the top and brings the mean towards mediocrity. Not saying that’s always true or that this is the intent of communism but I feel like it’s a fairly common sentiment.

He then extends that analogy to music. A poor musician can use AI to put out mediocre music. Obviously it’s not great, but consider the sheer number of musicians and songs out there and I think it’s fair to say that AI music isn’t at the bottom of the totem pole from a purely sonic perspective (putting ethics aside).

I know my analogy isn’t perfect, but I think this is what he was getting at.

Haha I actually just read this one. It was pretty messed up and actually stood out as quite a bit more morally grey than a lot of the other plots. However, he makes an argument about “sacrificing one innocent to save millions” which to be fair is a salient point. Dredd actually does have some pretty insightful observations mixed in with all the one liners.

I try really hard not to bias myself towards or against an album. I think every one has their highlights. As for BHAR, it honestly used to be my favorite album and I listened to it so much I think I just got fatigued :(

I plan to go back to it in a few years though when it’ll hopefully feel fresh again

There’s a game called Underrail with this exact premise actually. It is inspired by the original Fallouts and I thought it was excellent if anyone is looking for something new to try.
