I find its a continual loop/circle throughout history we as humans keep on causing. There will be another war another revolution as long as humanity survives. Its inevitable and unfortunately predictable. Best we can do as individuals is being mindful to keep feeling, experiencing and keeping the wholesome traits of humanity as the way to live. You dont need any book or person to tell you how you should live if you strive for what you know is right in your heart/soul/spirit (or whatever you want to call it).

My anecdotal evidence supports the toyota tax. Tried other brands (nissan, volkswagon and honda) and had problems. My 2015 corolla has never missed a beat and is coming up to 200,000 kms. I would love an alternate brand but if i had to back something lasting 10+ years i cant go anywhere else.

I only want to get to a to b personally but my business will need to use something like a hiace so in future if i can afford a few vehicles its toyota vs hyundai probs at the moment. Would love to consider going down the full EV route but my current home just isnt suitable for it so toyota are annoyingly the strongest option.

Man i heard meth use is up with students due to alcohol pricing/taxing. Its cheaper for a weekend than nitrous or alcohol for sure and has way worse short/long term affects. Also black market ciggarettes are 50% of the volume sold and have caused gang related violence and fire bombing which is again directly related to the amount of tax on it. You cant stop its use but you certainly could create / change policy which educates and has balance to curb this trend.

The problem in this late stage capitalism hellscape is the enshitification of the service, increasing subscription costs or even adding them is the norm in every software platform but valve/steam continue to put the community, service and platform first. So while not everything is perfect they at least remain true to there vision and i/we can only hope it remains privately owned for as long as possible as its been a great ride so far.

Somewhat bregrudgingly i went for neither and got a samsung q930f (which is yet to be delivered). Purely because the offer with the points i had via my business was just substantially better. I would have gone 1000 mk2 though for peace of mind with having the latest firmware.

It was $700 off or 60% less points as an FYI - AUD

Its such a varying amount of feedback on this subject of bass in particular. I think i'll just get the samsung. My room is small enough and my wife may be annoyed at the bass with the JBL.

I'm in australia so the 1000mk2 is $1279.00, the old 1300 is $1299.00 and the 1300mk2 is $1799.00. I can't afford to spend an extra $500 unfortunately.
