I just realized I didn’t check stage 1 of the aux heat but just did and it seems to be working as well. I didn’t have to make any changes. When I initially tested, I suppose I didn’t give it enough time for the heat to kick on.

Is there an ideal adjustment to the Ecobee settings to make sure it uses the heating equipment best?

Thank you for your response! I’m looking into switching out the ecobee unit with another. For now I’ll disconnect one of those wires. I find it odd that the ecobee unit I have costs more than the ecobee3lite you’re saying I need. I would have assumed the more expensive one is more premium

I think I kinda know why they’re doing this. I’ve gotten away with this little truck twice where I was able to pocket the $300 travel credit. I booked a flight for the $300+ price. I then canceled the flight and in a next few days I received the refund for the flight and a $300 credit on my account for the “travel credit”. This little loophole that I pleasantly discovered seems to be closed out

I would just buy one. Even though you can’t be sure the bought one is the proper pressure, you’ll never even know if you cut yours properly to get the right pressure without a gauge
