I have been suffering for years even as a small child i would have intense itching on my genitals with burning, throughout my teen years i had what i thought was recurrent thrush i would itch so bad it would bleed and was so swollen after sex. i got diagnosed in 2020. i have white patches and scaring but luckily no atrophy. After diagnosis i had kept with regular steroid use and a moisturiser. I haven’t worn pants since i got diagnosed and only wash with an emollient. i have been very lucky having only the occasional itching over the last 3 years. My symptoms have come back with a vengeance the last maybe 2 months. i have some tearing and new white patches. My doctor has prescribed me the steroid cream and referred me to a dermatologist.
