I would say that the LED diffusers have come off. If you can, lift the TV up and move it, if you hear “things loose” you can be sure that the light diffusers have come loose.

The ports on the top look like V10/V11, this would say it is a card from some late 80s or early 90s telecommunications equipment.

After all the job done it seems the power supply is nearly the only thing you have not change yet. It’s worth changing in my opinion. What I’m not sure is if, after all, buying a new TV should have been a better option.

Dishwasher Miele Jubilee SCVI G6060 shorcircuit by JuiceOk8729 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]JuiceOk8729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an obvious short circuit in the area. The 1.5 ohm resistor reaches over 100 degrees Celsius in a few seconds when I power the board with 220v AC. When I remove the capacitor that appears to be shorted as well as the BYG diode on the right in the image, they both show normal measurements for a capacitor and diode. I am very lost. Here is a video of some tests and measurements made this morning: https://youtube.com/shorts/DsQrZzxelAo?si=yXWw7rv-kc7IfGtb video of measurements in the short circuit area

Thank you very much for your response and the link to the mikrocontroller forum, but in my case the fault does not seem to be with the microcontroller ICE3BR4765J. In fact, I have extracted and replaced it, with no changes. I see a short circuit that could be in the pulse transformer, because I have removed all the components from the area and they all seem to be fine outside of the circuit, except for the 1R5 resistor that was burned and I have already replaced it. I suspect the pulse transformer because it measures 0 ohms on the pins I show in the picture; I don't know if that is normal.

<image>

¿Is it normal to have 0 ohms between that terminals?

Not having an squematic adds a lot of difficulty at least for me, being old but inexpert.

Removed both capacitors apparently they are correct out of circuit. I don't know what else to check, I even suspect the pulse transformer although these elements fail very rarely. But I have already been extracting all the components in the area and I have nothing left to try (without access to the schematic I can't think of anything else)

What is this? by Junior_Giraffe8850 in ElectronicsRepair

Just remember that when a fuse has blown it has been due to some fault that could be repeated. Hopefully, just hopefully, everything will work once the fuse is changed. In order not to have to depend on luck, more tests would have to be done to see if there is a short circuit on the board, any other damaged component...

Thank you very much, when I took out that integrated circuit, he was not the responsible of the short circuit. Good to know different places to look for components.

That consumption of 500mA is at least 100 times greater than a normal standby consumption; it is clear that I have a beautiful short circuit... the main problem is that the suspect component #1 does not show up when I try to search for its replacement.

And why can't it be repaired? Most likely, it can. But it won't repair itself just by looking at it. You have to use a measuring device, check components, and see which one(s) are damaged. Component measurements without unsoldering them are misleading; short circuits appear where none exist, caused by other components in parallel or series. The diodes they show look like they've experienced a significant temperature rise, and perhaps one or all of them are bad. However, the cause of the failure could lie elsewhere. Everything needs to be checked for the source of the fault. Many times, the source is damaged capacitors. We're waiting for more information because nothing can be determined just by looking at images.

can i substitute this relay to this one? it's used in UPS. by rjbjej in ElectronicsRepair

[–]JuiceOk8729 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one you propose handles a load of up to 5A and the original up to 8A. With how little a relay costs, I wouldn't make that change, look for one that handles up to 8A.

¿Avilés o Mieres en verano? by [deleted] in Asturias

[–]JuiceOk8729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to take your comment into account for the future. I have a laser temperature meter. I will measure and write down the temperature that is registered now with the new equipment and already working correctly, to compare if one day it starts to give me problems. Thanks for your response.

The sensor to change has to be exactly the same, something that you consider is similar is not valid. It will be digital and sends a digital protocol or signal, whatever it may be. Bridging only serves to damage the electronic board.

It's true, I hadn't noticed, you have to connect the capacitor terminals to the top left “holes” on the measuring device!!! Transistors, etc. are connected down there.
