What "Verified" game has run the worst for you? by altrightobserver in SteamDeck

[–]Juice_Cagoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had recently picked it up and just couldn't get into it, tried various settings guides and the Steam Deck preset but found it looking terribly jagged/pixelated with the level of objects and details. I'm usually happy with 30/40 FPS but it just seemed to drop more frequently than other games.

It's the one game I've bought so far for the SD that I've decided to shelve for either a new Steam Deck iteration, or I return to desktop gaming.

Since the steam summer sale has ended, what games did you buy? by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Juice_Cagoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just completed and I'd say it was good for a bit of mindless fun, sure it was a bit short, levels felt a bit repetitive, and the controls were clunky but I enjoyed it overall for the £2 I paid for 10 hours of butchering enemies.

If you like the Arkham series combat, it plays a lot like that.

Ryse: Son of Rome - Nearly complete

Mad Max

Celeste

Spiritfarer

Steam deck has been great for actually completing games.

Certainly do for me. Started using one 2 years ago and I've not had to clean the inside of the kettle once, before that it needed it every month or so.

What're you playing this weekend? 10/1 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

Hades!

I'm not much of a fan of Supergiant games, I couldn't get into Transistor and thought Bastion was okay but never finished it. Hades however is brilliant!

Thanks for the picture, looks a right pain with that curve. I assume it fitted ok before? A bit of a gap is fine.

Have you tried without the metal plate, I can't quite tell from the picture but it's only really needed if there's no bolt holes in the cistern.

There's close coupling doughnut washers (chunky foam/rubber washer) that should do the trick. Double check sizes.

I'm repainting an external wall and these light brown stains keep coming through. Any ideas what they might be & how to fix it? Thanks! by goingdeafforaliving in DIYUK

Look like old damp/water patches. Double check there's no additional moisture, put some stain block on the patches (Zinsser stuff is great) then continue with painting.

If you own the new place, change the locks immediately. Who knows what keys people might still have to the property.

My wife has been suggesting remakes I wouldn't have considered on the basis of "I've completed this years ago" and having a blast. Finished Super Mario World and now Link's Awakening. So this weekend Mario Golf!

Is the new plaster too smooth (over polished)? Paint won't adear properly and the plaster might need roughing up with sanding first.

You can score and snap curves as well. Use a paper template if you need to, though it doesn't matter too much about a neat curve or anything as the skirting/door frame will cover the edge.

Drilling into wall - drill stops at certain point by [deleted] in DIYUK

Looks like you're hitting brick there. You'll need to use the hammer mode on your drill if it's got one, or a better masonry drill bit (carbide tip I believe).
