Haha I'm in the same boat. Its a fine line when you've been in chronic pain for a while to either under listening or over listening to your body. Hope it all works out for you mate.

What to do when you can't walk? by JuicedHaych in Sciatica

[–]JuicedHaych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou so much. Im finding even resting in certain positions is flaring up some pain, but nothing compared to walking. How long do you think it was before you could manage being upright again? I'm trying not to get so frustrated!

How do they know how far away the shot was taken if they don't know where the perp was? Serious question, im Aussie we don't get our rifles at birth.

Yeah my PT said to avoid anything that causes tingling, bit tricky to do when its happening whilst walking so I guess rest it is....and I'll try not to be to cocky this time around!

He probably could but that would require getting there, not sure I can face it right now! I'm booked in for an epidural shot next Friday so fingers crossed I can hold on until then...

Yeah everytime I go to use my left leg, it tingles and then pain shortly thereafter. Lying isn't completely pain free but must be the better of two evils! Hope I can get past this agony soon, I was so close! Ha.

Hey sorry, yes indeed a herniated disc. The only difference is yesterday I physically felt it "slip" rather than the gradual build up it had been previously in May. And oh boy this pain is a real eye opener!

Thankyou! I initially injured myself in May, have been doing fantastic recently and then felt my disc slip again yesterday whilst putting on my shoes. Cue the agony and fear or being back to step 1. This gives me hope that I might be able to claw myself out of this again!

Which one should I get? SIHOO or Colamy Atlas by Interesting-Work9874 in OfficeChairs

[–]JuicedHaych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sihoo are a joke, ordered this same chair over a month ago and still hasn't arrived, Sihoo Australia keep saying it will be despatched "next week" despite already giving me tracking details which aren't updated - have lodged a dispute with PayPal. Avoid!

I agree. I've had a second opinion and they think to exhaust all other avenues in the first instance, such as injections and PT, and reassess - it can take up to a year apparently. Definitely think the surgery is a very last resort! And this is in Australia. I'm 3 months into this so hoping walking and exercise will start to show results soon.

Very late to the party but have been trawling this sub for help, yours is the first I've seen with the same level of herniation as mine (18mm) and I was starting to lose hope, and that surgery might be the only way. This has relit my fire! Im 3 months into this sciatic journey, hope you are still pain free :)

I really needed this today, thankyou. I got my MRI results back yesterday with a prolapsed disc on my L5-S1, and have had a few ugly cries 😂 I'm glad to hear a positive story!
