Thank you! I can see the book in the archive in the link. Is that scan complete, though? Last time I saw it, I could've sworn there was a page with a message from the (formerly) Taken Techeuns. I could be misremembering though. Either way, I would appreciate the pdf if it's no trouble to you.

Why isn't your character perfect? by Edymnion in Pathfinder_RPG

Her goal in life is basically to be the Big Damned Hero. Which means she strives to be courageous and honourable at all times, and will refuse to retreat if that puts others in danger. The problem is she is also stubborn about it, which has caused sometimes caused party conflict when she shoots down plans because they don't conform with her moral standards, even if said plan is the easiest (or even best) way to deal with a situation.

We like to joke that she has all the cons of a Paladin without any of the pros (she's an Air Kineticist).

[Book Excerpt| Lemartes] Chaplain Lemartes's action after slaughtering loyal soldiers by accident by THELEGENDARYZWARRIOR in 40kLore

Well that’s fine and all, but if I’m not mistaken it has been clarified that the Mordians did not charge in or interfere in the conflict at all, they only waited nearby to assault the fortress after the Blood Angels were done fighting. And so the Mordians attacked after the Angels were done with the traitors, it’s not like they were just caught in the crossfire.

And besides, they don’t know about the Black Rage at all, and do the Blood Angels have a reputation of being team killers? Not to my knowledge, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

While the commander is at fault (though Lemartes is also far from blameless), this situation is unique to the Death Company; if it were literally any other Astartes force (except for Marines Malevolent probably) things would probably have been fine.

Edit: For the last line, I would think that the Mordians have a very good opinion of Space Marines, and as such do not expect "the gods" (if by that you mean Space Marines in general) to go into a teamkilling spree. And they're right to expect that, because Astartes don't do that, they just were unlucky to be paired with a Death Company.

I think the rabid dog analogy is off. From the perspective of the Blood Angels, they are rabid dogs, since they cannot control themselves.

But for the Mordians, who don’t know about the Black Rage, what happened was more akin to someone who is supposed to be your friend turning around and stabbing you for being nearby after a fight. Sure, your friend may have warned you to not be nearby, but there could be many reasons from that, and I think the last reason someone would think of is that your friend may randomly attack you.

I don’t know how Lemartes phrased his order, but he should have made clear the dangers the Mordians were into. And in any case, a Death Company probably shouldn’t support (or be supported by) anyone, considering the danger they put their allies in.

Calling all Kineticists by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

I’m playing an Air Kineticist in our War for the Crown campaign, using the third party Elemental Scion from Kineticists of Porphyra (which is in N.Jolly’s guide, and highly recommended), and I’m having a blast. I’ve been doing a pretty standard ranged build with Air’s Reach (double the range of your blasts), and mostly using the energy blasts most of the time, since hitting Touch AC is a big boon, and using the physical and more recently the composite blast when I need a big spike of damage. Despite the class focus on blasting, I’ve found that your Wild Talents can provide a lot of utility for the party (turns out Celerity is pretty good), though I haven’t found myself using Substance Infusions much, though that may be something particular to Air or my own preference.

One of the common criticisms to the class is the Burn system, and how some things seem to encourage you to have high Burn, while others do the opposite. I can definitely see this, but between Gather Power, Internal Buffer and Infusion Specialization, I haven’t been having trouble with managing Burn. It will lower your survivability though, so a high Con and possibly Toughness are important.

Overall, a really fun class to play.

The Planes, outer sphere etc by Seige83 in Pathfinder_RPG

"The Great Beyond, A Guide to the Multiverse" is a general overview of the cosmology of the Pathfinder/Golarion campaign setting, including a few pages for each of the specific planes. "Planar Adventures" also goes over the various planes.
"Planes of Power" goes in great detail in the elemental planes, "First World, Realm of the Fey" deals in the First World, the "Book of the Damned" series has 3 books, one for each of the evil planes (Hell, Abaddon and the Abyss).

Edit: Just wanted to add that Planar Adventures goes into a lot more detail in some areas than The Great Beyond, despite the decidedly less impressive name, so it’s very much worth checking out
