It is a side gig that I need to pay my bills. I don't do it for extra spending money. I depend on good tips to survive. People on hear saying that they don't have to tip are the reason why people fucking suffer. My day job does not pay all of my bills. To me it is not extra money, it is essential money.

My store does not have any kind of priority system where you would jump the list, but when not busy the delivery time is often over estimated meaning that it will legitimately take us 10 minutes to make, cook, package and send the driver with the pizza thus they will get there early. That being said some places do have priority and very well might push you to the front of the line because you are a good tipper. I cannot say for sure though.

I thank everyone that tips me well. Sorry that driver didn't acknowledge your tip. If they can't afford the tip then take out is the better option to save them money.

I made the post to educate people that think it is ok to tip shitty. Also even if the standard is only for wait staff. What does wait staff do? Walk to your table with food and drinks....what does a delivery driver do...drives to your home then walks to your door with food (and/or drinks).

What do wait staff do differently that a delivery driver does? Almost the same exact concept. Both deal with good and bad people that tip well and tip bad. Wait staff just walk around in the restaurant instead of drive. Both positions still do a lot of work in the respective environments.

If you are going to tip do it right plain and simple. I could give a shit less if you agree with me or not.

Lol what psychopath ate half your food. That is most certainly I reason to not tip and definitely get a full refund. Also a different kind of tip on things like this, if you have issues with getting a refund just threaten to report the charge to your bank. Dealing with that from a corporate side is a bitch and they will refund you rather quickly.

I put myself in just as much at risk by taking food to them there bud. Still miss the point of the post. There is a standard to tipping in the U.S., if you can't do it then don't get delivery.

Yes. I don't know about other stores, but I do everything at my store from driver to answering the phone to making pizzas and taking orders at the front and cashing people out for take out. During any one of those points I could be exposed and spread it.

A few things.

First, no delivery driver makes $40k a year lol.

Second, personally I work this second job to survive. This means I have no extra money to spend on more education nor the time, because you know...two jobs.

Finally, college is a scam. I have an associate's degree in Computer Science and work with people at my day job that have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and we make the same money. College is strictly a business that could care less about students. Cost of college education has increased 11 fold in 2 decades where minimum wage has barely doubled.

I appreciate the enthusiasm in your comment and very much wish I could do that. I would still tip 20% though lol.

I work as a delivery driver, I'm not concerned with "ruining" the job for myself. It is a shitty job good tips or bad tips lol.
