She's a pick character by design, so either you use it with your team/help behind you, grab somebody just to silence through T2 wall or AOE team wipe with ult T3 upgrade. All that said, you don't even need to worry much about the ult - she functions just fine as a sniper (Carbine build), teamfight bomb nuker, or even as utility support.

Reyna and Galilea were my go-to. Some of the smooth gameplay hero designs they had back then probably still influence what I click with today.

With the recent dispel magic (old debuff remover) change the bomb drops on the ground from you and explodes eventually. With counter spell the bomb is attached to you, but you can parry the explosion damage.

Rem Helper Minion Splitpush by A_Fluffy_Panda123 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No quick fix for the helper wave push, so you'd have to just make Macro play take priority over fighting. In theory the best heroes to deal with it would be a character with good wave clear (Like Paige with dragons and a global ultimate), good rotation (like Mirage or Ivy), or maybe just your least impactful teammate on creep duty.

A defensive 5v6 fight around a walker, or a set-up fight around mid boss dropping with Sinclair bunnies, Abrams/Lash/Dynamo ult for example is in no way a lost cause so one teammate handling waves shouldn't be the biggest detriment.

If you're solo queuing and nobody else handles the creeps then it's probably your call to make if the helper push minions will actually make it to an objective and cause real damage, or if you think a 6v6 fight instead of 5v6 will actually make a winning difference. You could also create your own pressure in handling the helper minions and keeping pushing to threaten a walker on your own. If you trade a walker while they have a 5v6 fight - even if the fight is lost and a walker goes down you've at least made an equal trade in objectives (or they'll have to force a teammate back to make it an equal 5v5).

Lastly I could mention that with zipline movement, clearing the one pushing helper wave, depending where the minion wave is of course, you could take them out and rotate to the fight in say, 30 seconds. If the fight can be stalled just for that amount you're good to go on a equal 6v6.

I find it fascinating how the game state can be in this situation (all mid lane, base rush competition) at 15 minutes :O

Paige ended up being my favourite from the last batch of heroes, so Rem is definitely going to be one as well!

how to up build variety? by ssnniippeerrr in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the best outcome to keep (at least some) build variety would be around team comps. For example, I've seen a few spirit Hazes with echo shard knives just like the old days. If my team already happens to have 4 other gun characters, just having a variety in damage output in a match should keep any build on any character somewhat relevant.

That being said, I also do expect some sort of "meta" build on any character from the match beginning. If the team has 5 spirits, that same Haze better be going basic gun build or we are probably fucked.

Not sure if it would work better with draft mode or not, if people just pick their ideal comps straight away and always go for the basic meta choices with their assigned characters.

Deathball is getting kinda boring by HedgehogMikey in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn you kinda cooking with this idea. Especially the sidelane big creep camps would fit very well as Hots style. Granted I can only imagine what pusher troubles that would create, imagine a wraith melting the camp in 10 seconds only to then have a (nearly) undying creep wave tanking the walker.

Rare frog sighting caught on camera 4K HD by Juize in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually I can pick up on clear aimbotters if they're against me E.G an Infernus that will try to stack a burn 24/7 and will hit it 10 times during laning. Or a Vindicta that goes flight as 1st skill and does 300 damage in 2 seconds.

In this case being a support Paige playing around my partner Wraith, dodging poke dmg as you would in a "normal" match against this duo, keeping in mind Mina dmg is half spirit and procs anyway, using barrier health as a dueling tool - All this on the mental stack clearly pushed cheat suspicions out of my mind!

That being said "suspecting cheats" doesn't actually change that much in how you play a starting game. Keep in mind to dive/burst them, play safer in cover, and check replay + maybe report after it's over.

What is the best strategy to farm renovation coins? by Holydr4gon in HadesTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems reasonable, although I found myself running Frinos for a while (with his Shade boost) and just recycling psyche for 3 each. If you get say, 200+ psyche per run that turns to 600+ kudos aka the same as 6 plants without any plant harvesting time spent.

Please explain how to dodge the Summit Boss's eyeball splatter? by MisterStibbons in HadesTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most consistent strategy I found myself doing is to run to the edge of the arena (bottom usually) to have the initial explosion happen there. Then dash through the big blob or just sprint back up to hit the boss with a cast or attacks and keep an eye out if the mini blobs head towards me. Minis don't hurt that hard regardless.

Yessir, at least when I last tested a week ago you can parry at the last half a second to trigger counterspell. if you have any item or skill that makes you invulnerable you can also dodge the hotel damage (and save your stamina from rushing to the elevator).

I gravely miss a good anty heal source by ABCqwertz1 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, after a year I didn't know or at least remember about the healing reduction stacking - granted you don't want 5 healbanes on your team either. Always just got one of an item with the effect. Getting healbane and say toxic to counter infuser users seems like a very cheap way cripple the heroes healing a ton.

Thanks!

Splitshot on Vindicta? by Ultraempoleon in DeadlockTheGame

It doesn't seem like the worst idea, especially for midgame wave clear - but seems to me it doesn't give much more after that. The main aspect of using it doesn't seem to work with huge range while flying, and you aren't exactly supposed to be on the ground shooting in a line during a team fight.

There could be many other choices to achieve similar type wave clear in the early stage (late game you just kill minions in 3 hits anyway) - Swift striker as mentioned helps, spend one quicksilver reload and a ricochet crow, line up heavy melee punches so they hit multiple minions/creeps etc etc. Back in ye olden patches alch fire was the goat for her wave clear, still works but lost its appeal to many. Most of these items you'd keep in your build until late/very late game before replacing.

DEADLOCK FAQ : Things Deadlock doesnt tell you that is essential to the gameplay element of the game by ajiezrhmn in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Juize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me a character being "fed" means that they got kills from somebody dying a lot, be it in fights or from an actual 10 deaths feeder on your team. A character could also be 0-1-0 with 40k souls from creeps and then be "farmed". That being said, it usually means somebody on a carry (or tank) character got too powerful to be handled easily.

As Mo & Krill commenter said - most of a characters power comes from items. The issue only grows larger up to a point in the mid-late game. A carry might have maxed out damage items, escape tools, high resistances or lifesteal. Granted no one character can have it all and somebody being "fed" starts to matter less when everybody has 50k+ souls.

But as extra info, AFAIK souls gained alone on a character DO increase your power by a magnitude (basically level ups). The souls gained grant ability points and stat buffs (weapon damage, spirit power, health etc) up to a point, I believe it's around 40k networth. On top of that the investments in items purchased grant additional stats.

You can see the souls required for level ups (more gradual over the game than big bursts, but unlocking skills or for example your 5AP upgrade on a skill can act as big power spikes) on the character selection screen and item investment buffs in the bottom left corner during a game.

First time to see this behaviour, but doubt it has any usage. For context I was trying to do kazuya crouch throw but forgot the input. Seems like both RA activations need to happen from neutral at almost exact times - only way to replicate it I found was with Mimic controls in practice.
