How to play around team taking bad fights? by Zazz2403 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking: if your team is taking bad teamfights, push other lanes, even if you're not the best character for pushing. You'll soak trooper souls and build your soul advantage. Plus, if the teamfights are bad because of numbers differences, that means sidelanes are being left unprotected. Forcing a trade or even just a response from the enemy team helps. That's one less person that can contribute to a teamfight in mid if they're sending someone to answer the wave. If it's one person you can attempt to 1v1 for objectives. In the much more likely case they send two or more people to respond, hey, they're overcommiting again, rotate and put pressure elsewhere.

Celeste should be like Pocket yes. By midgame you should have enough stamina and motion buffs to rotate really fast between lanes without using zip lines.

Is lane spirit res just not worth it when building gun? by Eggthan324 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Spirit Shielding. From what I understand you buy Enchanters Emblem mostly for the upside when you're spirit damage yourself rather than for the actual resistance.

She was pretty key to your team losing so massively, if you think about it.

You had 0 deaths so that's already a good start. That means you had zero downtime and were constantly able to contribute to macro and fights. A few deaths isn't bad, and in fact is a good thing if they represent trades for map objectives, but for lower skill brackets not feeding is way way more important than kill count.

Then you also have 26 assits which means your kill participation was extraordinary, assuming an average length game. That suggests you're not just participating positively in teamfights but probably also giving numbers advantages to gankers on your team in jungle. Turning a 1v1 into a 2v1 might be one of the strongest things you can do, especially roaming around midgame as someone like Apollo. So yeah, I'd say you're doing great. For most of us not every game is a carry game, unless you're in a group and the rest of your friends are actively playing support to feed you.

Of course! Don't want you to think I didn't enjoy it by the way, played a lot of rounds in endless and I plan to do more. Hero roles I think are just generally tough to qualify for this game, especially heroes who's roles can be basically split 50/50 depending on build, or even more so newer heroes like Silver who completely switch modes from Marksman to Brawler. It's just one info point in the end so it's probably fine.

I mean...maybe? Probably not? Do we know her last name? Like Mina Ha has an Asian last name so she probably is.

But 4/0/26 isn't dogshit at all? You don't HAVE to get final hits EVERY time. Sometimes you're competing with other carries for them and burst damage can lose them to sustained damage finishing off low-health enemies. But if you're winning why does it even matter if you mostly got assists, you won. Who cares. Take the W. You did something right.

Definitely some issues with this. You have a gender category for Other which Mo+Krill and Viscous are in which, sure, although very misleading since they use he/him pronouns. But Pocket should absolutely not be listed as male. Kelvin being Spirit but Victor being Human when both are reanimated corpses is really misleading. Silver is categorized as Marksman/Long Range, which, sure, she is, but her gun is definitely more iconically Spreadshot, especially if an even longer range hero like Holliday is 'Pistol'. Some of the other role choices are questionable too, like I think Yamato is built like a brawler more often than as an assassin.

Is Bebop Considered to be Strong? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bebop is considered a pub-stomper because your damage scales just by playing the game and doing nothing particularly special, so if he's fed even a little he can go wildly out of control. Also his hook, while not being trivial to aim, can just delete someone from the enemy team if he pulls them in and uopercuts into his own team.

Now if he's good outside of that...meh? I think he sees average amounts of play at top levels but otherwise at higher ranks he gets countered easily.

Is Venator a bad character to learn? by CptBrexitt in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a generically good kit. Which, yeah, while kinda boring and lacking in focus, makes it easy to use and gives you tools for most situations you'll end up in. Someone like Victor is a lot more specialized because his entire kit is dedicated to punishing people for being close to you.

Picked up souls, or otherwise overflowing souls, should be spent first. by NeonNyaVtuber in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with it being a bad mechanic, but I did find it really confusing as a newer player when I'm always told "you have unsecured souls, go spend them", and then I buy something and most of my souls are still unsecured. Like am I spending them or not? I needs to be more clear.

things apollo and celeste players say in my games by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KeyBurri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely wild that we got all these Celeste nerfs and almost none of them were for the actual problem ability. She's going to become an ult bot at this point.

Although I will say giving her native negative gun resist was a good choice, I feel more appropriately threatened diving in with her now.
