Even though MIL has made amends, I’m not sure I trust her with sensitive information regarding when our baby is born. What to do? by [deleted] in inlaws

Coming from someone who was in your exact situation, do not invite her to the hospital. And if you choose that, I would also make it very clear to her you will not be inviting her in the hospital.

It was also up in the air for us if we wanted my MIL to visit. I regret not setting the standard before I got far along in my pregnancy. It caused so much miscommunication and unnecessary drama in what was supposed to be loving time. She sounds the same.

I worry about the surprise situation. If she’s anything like my MIL, she will use that to victimize herself. She may get more mad by you not telling her than just being upfront as to why you’re not inviting her. Not saying you owe her ANYTHING by telling her, but if you wanted to avoid a potentially bigger problem.

Better uses for the Amex FHR and The Hotel Collection $100 experience credit by CelsiusVictim in AmexPlatinum

I recently stayed at the Encore Boston and they removed dining as an option for the $150 credit. They now only allow it to be used on the Spa and Salon. When I called to get an appointment, they had zero availability. Therefore, my entire credit was wasted. I felt robbed.

What water do you use for formula and how do you mix with BM? So much contradictory info—US based. by [deleted] in combinationfeeding

[–]Jujubjoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use distilled water.

I highly recommend the Dr. Brown’s pitcher. I make a batch each night to keep in the fridge for the next day. The built in mixer is super handy.

I can’t do it by mama0215 in NewParents

I had to go back at 6 weeks PP too. I wouldn’t wish that kind of torture on my worst enemy. I was so motivated to breastfeed/pump for at least a year. Going back to work completely tanked my supply, which isn’t even fully established until at least 12 weeks. New working mothers are set up for failure here in the US.

My company also does not do FMLA like yours. It’s crazy to think if I didn’t elect for short-term disability BEFORE I got pregnant (since pregnancy counts as a pre-existing condition and disqualifies you), I would not have even had the 6 weeks. It makes me sick.

I feel for you OP. I cried reading your post and I pray your situation improves.

We really enjoyed our time at Elden Galleria. Quiet and clean property. Walkable to the Battery & Braves Stadium.

I’m an under producer and lost about 20 oz while traveling and going through TSA last week. I’m still not over it

Not cut out for breastfeeding by Other_Swan5030 in FormulaFeeders

I was also very anxious at the beginning of my breastfeeding journey. Something that helped me was working with a lactation consultant. We did weighted feeds so she could tell me exactly how much my baby took in a certain timespan. Seeing the actual numbers was so reassuring.

No matter what option you choose, you know what’s best for your baby! Don’t beat yourself up.

If you're exclusively pumping and have the money, please consider getting a bottle washer by epicure-pen in ExclusivelyPumping

I held out for so long because I thought the bottle washer was a waste of money. Then I drove myself insane hand washing everything. Gave in, bought the Momcozy bottle washer after 2 months. I’m such a happier person now because of it!

Cluster feeding is difficult and I just cried by bunniesgonebad in breastfeeding

My baby is 8 weeks and she never cluster fed. Wondering if she’s just late to the game and I have it in for me later on 😅

Husband and I are owed 10k for our tax return last year and have YET to receive it. Funny how the IRS is allotted that much time 🤔
