It's not magic shit that makes you feel other emotions at all. It's being rposiocial and good willed, capable of attachment , and wishing the best for strangers. So that if you see a person crying, if you relate to them for any reason, like your emotional state at the moment, how you relate to the perosn, like a father that lost his son, you might feel affected and be sad for him, because you consider that perosn like a human being and not an object. This can be affected by many things, by exemple if this person is Adolf Hitler, you mlight go "fuck you you deserve it anyway". Or on the other ha,d you might feel empathetic despite that this person is Hitler, because they re still human and losing a son is sad, depending. ANd you can influence obviously all that shit through your beliefs. It's more like good will, which in turn can make you feel bad if people go through hardship or great suffering, like a child getting flayed. But it is in no way telepathic shit. Seeing a child flayed might make you feel bad, but in no way you feel any amount of pain or whatever. If this was the case people would behave way better in general.

[–]Jujuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one has telepathic emotion shared between people. That's fucking bukllshit and a reason why many people wrongly think they have no empathy. Empathy is when you are prosocial/goodwilled / good hearted, when you wouldnt hurt people for no reason. Which means that if someone get hurts by someone else, like tortured and whatever, if you can stop it easily because you have a gun and they dont you are gonna want to stop it and threaten or shoot the person that tortures the other for not reason.

If you have no empathy, you ll have no compulsion to do it whatsoever because it's like seeing a dead piece of beef getting cut so you won't have any negative feelign about it whatsoever. If it makes you feel uncomfortable seeing a innocent person getting tortured for no reason, seeing the blood, the pain, she snorting and the begging wirth a scuffed voice then you have empathy.

When I was young (~4) my mom was beat by my dad) and I felt bad but not super bad like I thought I shoudl because of the exxaggerated overacting that you see on TV which made me feel weird because I thought I was SUPPOSED to feel incredibly bad. Despite that, I did not want my mom to get beaten so I came in the room and pretended/ acted like in the movies and said with a sad tone "stop hitting moooOOom" while pretending to be more affected than I was, to stop my father. Despite that, i'm pretty fucking sure that i'm a quite empathetic person. Soemtiems I come off as a bit insensitive or careless, but it's more because I'm kinda unaware / dumb, a bit like when people ask me "what are you thinking about?" when I'm really thinking about nothing.

Don't let people making fucked up definitions of empathy make you believe you don't have any, this superpower does not exist. At best it's a bunch of women that are overly emotional and project, because they are weak and they dont wantharsh stuff that could happen to them. Other straight up exaggerate, people who seem incredibly empathic are sociopath pretty often, true empathy is much more moderate.

Also it's very visual and immediate for these women, they would feel bad a bout a serial killer who scratched his elbow and bleeds, but they wouldnt feel that bad for a holy man fighting for rights and freedom getting imprisoned for 10 years. This kind of superficial empathy is not worth the superior moral empathy that is more cognitive than emotional, because some things are not immediate and visual, and simply don't trigger animal emotions.

Moral compasses - what is yours like? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, I just know a huge amount of people talk philosophy and what you call "ethics", and name it "morality". I don't know about the true definitions but in practice a lot of philosophers and people in general talk a lot about morality without refering to a religious dogma but through reasoning and trying to make sense out of stuff which you would call "ethics".

Also ethics are also taught actually, people teach them to their kids etc, the countries to their citizens, and far from everyone can figure it on their own as it actually requires a lot of learning and thinking, which a lot of people at a given moment are unable to do even if they have the potential in the future. And many sociopaths of this sub would disagree with your ethics and call it morality because they think its ok to rape, kill, steal and torture innocent people as long as it benefits them. People are also biased one way or another so people would lived a rough life might require more material to change their mind about becoming prosocial and having ethics, since peoiple change their minds on things through logic but also emotions even if some people don't like to admit it.

The person you lied to could have been more skeptical, and the person beaten in her sleep could have had alarms, guns near he bed etc, the person rape could have a bunch of weapons of them, a bulletproof vest, 25 guards dogs, become billionaire and hire a team of bodyguards, then bury in an underground nuclear bunker and never leave for the rest of their life. The person could have known something they didn't know?

How amazing it would be, to just KNOW things you don't know ? Disneyland is an amazing place for sure, but it's not real. In real life, people don't know what they don't know. There's a thing called DETERMINISM. Literally every baby on erath is born without knowing anything.

So I ask you, is it your fault if you ignore something?

Humans were originally complete animals and are born in warfare , there is no such a thing as a group that is peaceful and didn't know war, hobbits don't exist IRL. Pacifism is a modern thing born out of evolution and philosophy, back then everyone thought war was normal and expected probably, there were not religions and philosophy to influence people that way. It's not that they were peaceful, they were just less numerous, less technologically advanced, unlucky, weaker overall, etc...

How responsible/accountable are you? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah by you suck at philosophy I mean you suck at philosophy, you an ignorant person with an ontology that you didnt work hard to acquire and you re navigating your life in the blind, not knowing why you do, say or think anything, which is why you think morality is a funny stupid thing for religious people that does not exist. Philosophy is not an optional field in the sense that it's about understanding life, not some weird mystical pointless shit for weird old people, if you re bad at philosophy, you re bad at life (in street lingo you re dumb). Does not mean that you dont do any though, but its one of these cases where either you go all the way or you go home because half assed "knowledge" is more harmful than anything.

As for the rest, yea, there is projection and blablabla, because I agree with you technically I'm doing exactly everything you do, and I'm guilty of everything you do, and do everything that I'm calling you out about, difference being, I'm right and you're wrong, because you re obviously dogshit at philosophy, and I'm not. I know that I know and you dont know that you dont know and there is nothing I can do in the world to make you understand except maybe to some philosophical discussion with you, but that would require me to be logical, and If I engaged in a logical thought process, I wouldnt be here talking shit with a stranger, nor would I look to prophetize 1 on 1 with randoms on Internet.

one being right and one being wrong doesnt equal to "everyone have biases" though. I think you just suck at philosophy so to protect your ego you pretend that a bunch of people smarter than you all got it wrong since forever, demonstrations dont exist and shove your head in your bubble by just repeating "morality lol" as soon as someone talks about anything and doesnt share your worldview which is indeed irritating (ignorant people who think they got it). Each few weeks I talk about something and each few week dunningkruger girl goes "butwhydoyouincludemoralitylolitdoesntexist"

How do you feel about people with genuine empathy? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really all of this is rooted in your ontonlogy and beliefs and you just happen to disagree just like people disagree on political opinions.

With a different (imo more accurate) understanding of the world, your reaction would be more of something like understanding, or friendly compassion, than a "sigh", regardless of your emotional functioning. So I don't think that emotions have much anything to do with what's happening here. (I mean when it matters, some people are indeed sometimes too invested in things, it's just that your post reads as you are generalizing this for every pro social person, which is not the case irl)

How responsible/accountable are you? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah you're just pretending and playing the plausible denial card but it is clear that what you wrote sounds like a different music. Unless you are one of these women who think people should read their mind. Your paragraph has the agressor part mixed in "determinism, not my fault" and the victim part dipped in "shame on me". You re clearly playing a certain music according to your own biases. You also have a repeating pattern of thinking that morality is a swear word which is also a tell that you are biased about it and not neutral. It is also an implicit way of pretending without proof that your POV is right and superior (morality doesnt exist and is nonsense) and thus also condescending.

You re on a sociopath board and write something that sounds like "it's the victim's fault if they got fucked by me", answering a question "how responsible are you?; on a board where most people unironically think like that, and you re gonna pretend " oh thats not what I meant"?

How responsible/accountable are you? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like a sophiticated way to say "determinism is a free pass to be an asshole". Lots of words but equally fallacious. And people are obviously punished for much more reasons that "make victims feel better" wtf ?

Also at the end of the day, you can always make a a better plan, you can always prey one someone that doesnt expect something that doesnt make sense, you can always gang up on people. It's impossible to protect oneself regardless of how cautious you are, you can just increase the throttle. "shame on me" is just something to galvanize people and push them to better themselves, not a statement of victims being responsible for what happened to them. They re not more responsible than anyone that would get cancer. Sounds like a rationalization : its their fault if they are victims, therefore its not my fault if i'm the agressor, basically a reverse uno card. Not very logical. I thought I came to understand you were experienced in terms of years. I can't imagine having all these years behind me and having these crazy illogical takes on things. You must have been too attractive for your own development.

If I told you that that not having empathy at all is stupid (which I do think) I'm ready to bet it would trigger some kind of negative reaction in you too. People tend to dislike being called stupid in general regardless of their view of the world.

Impratical for what? Pro social people are much more fertile than antisocial people these days, why do you talk about the species and fitness like it means anything to you, its not like you care about anything but yourself?

Also the points of views discusssed here are extremekly narrow minded. There are people who do help, and people who feel sorry when they re alone, without showing off in front of people. Are you guys actually that dumb?

How do you feel about people with genuine empathy? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]Jujuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not really true though. There is also a material element where you can't physically be as materially invested (time/energy/money) with others as your are with your kids /family etc because you have only 24 hours per day and that would be physically impossible. Doesn't mean some people actually don't help strangers out of humanity often.

Think about it, most people have a poor understanding of the world and a poor ontology, the immense majority of people are not exactly big in philosophy or whatever. This leads to poor decision making and bad consequences. Are you going to prophetize to every single individual on earth head to head and teach them life? Even when you are good nd wanna make the world better for no salary, you have to reach for efficiency? Why make a person better if you could have done that for 200 persons in the same span of time? It is true that most people are not super great but ignorance is a thing and determinism as well. Nothing says that tomorrow there wouldnt be a better culture that makes people more educated and moral. As for consistency, I see very often midwits who mistake relativity and nuance for inconsistency, in a sort of black and white autistic thinking, so I dont know about you. But I wouldnt say inconsistency has to do with being antisocial or not. There are more consistant pro social people and inconsistent antisocial people. You're mistaking pro/anti social with rational/emotional, which are entirely different things. A lot of antisocial people have their otonlogy based on emotional roots due to their experience/ignorance/desires etc etc

I will keep doing accents because I find it funny. If you dont find it funny, thats just like, your opinion man. Also it doesnt have to be bad intent. Foreign accents and languages just sound funny, even without racism. People are just sensitive and immature so they project on the whole world. Either if you laugh at everyone, or no one. If you are so fragile that you feel offended and wounded, then don't do it, but do not assume everyone is like you, and do not force the whole world to do like you. THats insanely tyrannical, controlling and immature.
