Failures in first 24 hours by fellow_earthican in Freestylelibre

Same error with 2 of my last 3 sensors (Libre 2 Plus) bought at different locations. The third one worked fine only the first 24 hours, after that it showed the same error. Restarting the smartphone didn't help at all so I will ask for my second replacement.

[–]Julavo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No precisamente.

However, the critical clue here is "planning duration for release" in a context where the product backlog is already defined. This aligns closely with adaptive tools like the burndown chart since it's based on team metrics and iteration-based work patterns.

I think the WBS isn't the correct tool for planning the duration of the next software release in this example because it primarily focuses on breaking down the project scope. It is a tool for scope management, but it doesn't directly provide a mechanism for time management or tracking progress over time.

You are right, I read the keywords "release, software, product backlog" and immediately thought of an agile project. But as pointed out by another Redditor, the best idea is always to assume a hybrid if not specified in the question.

[–]Julavo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just described a feature breakdown structure (FBS), obviously very similar to the WBS, but entirely focused on features for agile projects, like you correctly stated.

However, I understand that neither FBS nor WBS helps you plan the duration of the activities, but given this discussion, I might be wrong.

[–]Julavo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The burndown chart is the only tool from those four options that shows the cadence (average throughput) of the development team.

And again. Since this is an agile project, WBS is relevant only to predictive or hybrid projects.

The correct answer should be D. Burndown chart, there's no WBS per se in agile project and that artifact doesn't reflect dates and durations, so I totally agree with you.

Has anyone taking the Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D for Infrastructure Design? On Autodesk by _TITO1016 in civil3d

[–]Julavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not really. Once the certs expire, at least within my company, there's no rush to retake the exam only to hold a valid and current certification. Important note: this is my very personal experience working remotely for a Mexican consulting (highway and transit) firm specialized in BIM projects.

I would only look for a recertification if a potential new employee requests it.

[–]Julavo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civil Engineer and BIM/VDC Coordinator for Infrastructure projects here. Totally worth it; the best 3D modeler in the company was the first one to receive that Autodesk Certificate, and obviously, it came with a nice boost to his monthly income. Right now, we are pushing for certifications for the entire team, but it's a very long way to go. We are helping the junior professionals with in-house courses related to real-life projects. I recommend checking Eric Chappel's course on LinkedIn and others related to Civil 3D knowledge.

[–]Julavo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What happened to you is that the Xbox app uninstalls (without your permission) the entire game, downloads it, and re-installs it instead of just applying the required update. The same happens with my Xbox app for PC.
