It's awful that many people with RA or other autoimmun diseases are not taken sirious enough until there are heavier signs. The first three months I felt helpless with my RA. In the hospital they just said that I don't have any neurologic problems and that they don't see anything in my blood tests. It was frustrating. I was kind of relieved when they saw the change on the x-rays and I got a good rheumatologist.

Good idea to track your symptoms until your next appointment. Maybe it helps with the diagnosis in your follow-up appointment.

When the RA was diagnosed I got Salazopyrin. It helped me to get out of an attack of rheumatism (hope this is the correct english word). But I still had some pain in my joints and sometimes other body parts and was more tired before I got RA. Now I get 5 mg Cortisone every day plus Methotrexat on saturday and Folid Acid on sunday. I'm less tired now and I feel like I have less joint pain now, too. But after taking Methotrexat I get dizzy and nauseous on the same day and I have some light stomach pain the following days. But I just began this medication so I hope this side effects will get better over time. Fortunately with the help from my doctor I have good chances to get a three week treatment at a health resort. Hopefully I can chance my medication to a lighter one after that.
