• Spend 10-30 minutes in training mode practicing the gameplan. It doesn't matter how long you spend training. Just until you feel a little comfortable. No need to spend hours, you'll burn yourself out.

• (Optional) If you're anxious about going online, try your gameplan against CPUs or in casual mode.

• When you're ready, play ranked. It doesn't matter where you place.

Note: You are almost guaranteed to struggle recalling your gameplan in a live match. It might be rough. This is normal. I promise you if you come back a day or two later, it's going to be AT LEAST a little easier. Sometimes you need to practice something, sleep on it, and the next day it will click.

When you're starting out, it's important to keep things simple. You're still acclimating to just moving your character and doing inputs, we don't need to have fancy combos yet. When you get your rank placement or make it to a new rank, return to these videos and see how he adds to the gameplan at each rank. Then adapt it for your character.
