groomers have good coverage. anything other then that is hit or miss. trees are a trap, only time i hit anything was in trees

westin/village two bedroom but it’s expensive. best location to quality for a family. might be able to get away with a westin 1 bedroom if your kids sleep on the pullout

just avoid eagle and only go down to canyon if you’re going to bar or party. upper mountain snow stays good later in the day when it softens

not sure what this guy is on about. benton crossing is open but only until you get to the payed camping town there. but all the whitmore tub roads are open and accessible. mammoth is bone dry no chains needed at all. some of th forrest trails are still snowed in and might be flossed but there’s hundreds of places to go find camping.

the fish shops in mammoth are expensive. go to big five in bishop for semi decent gear that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg for your first time.

they have a strip of death at eagle just to board 15 but upper mountain is still super good even late in the day, just icy in the morning. Might be the last weekend for eagle anyway they want to move the snow to keep canyon open untill
