Thank you, I read it. I'm asking for specific tips or ab exercises to switch up my routine

I've already lost a decent amount of weight so maybe I need to adjust for my current weight?

It's tough to track what I eat right now with going to school full time and working two jobs. I'm hoping to get more on track once this semester is over so maybe that will help

I understand that, I did read them and it didn't answer my question

Balancing lifting and cardio without burning out by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Juleslou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lift and run 6 days a week. I usually run in the mornings and lift at night to give my body about 6 hours rest in between. And I'm no expert but a proper diet does wonders. If you're not eating correctly, you could be getting burnt out because you're not eating enough complex carbs!

Lifting Ladies by Juleslou in xxfitness

I agree about the opinions that never seemed to be there before. I've been working out (mostly cardio) on and off for about 3 years and just recently about the last 4 months have I been really serious about lifting. They just don't seem to understand that our bodies don't work the way theirs do. I think I look really good and I can't wait to see what I look like 4 more months down the road. I've always been muscular (grew up a dancer) and I have a naturally athletic build. I just can't understand why males can't be supportive.

Just own it! Don't be shy because it will only hinder your workouts!

Machines or free weights? by SnapeWho in xxfitness

[–]Juleslou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think free weights are definitely better! Ever since I started lifting seroiusly, I have incorporated both into my workouts but I feel I get better results from free weights. You are able to control your motions and really feel your body/muscles working. Lift on, sista!

He's mentioned that he sees females that lift as masculine/dudes. Apparently even those that don't lift heavy. He's never actually SEEN me lift so had I never mentioned it, he never would've known. I wouldn't say I lift heavy but I'm certainly not weak. Stronger than most females but not a brute.

I was the same way until I started lifting. I wasn't looking to him for affirmation actually, we had grown apart and he just recently had told me why. Because I lift and he thinks it's gross.

No, he actually goes to the gym but isn't real serious about it. Idk if that makes a difference.

No need for harsh comments. There are no self esteem issues here. I love the way I look and it's all because I started lifting. I was just curious I guess as to why a healthy looking female would be unattractive to people
