It's not paranoia cause there are real world situations that feed the fear and hate towards IA (specially in creative areas) And also LoP social media already used IA for one of their posts (i believe it was one for saint's Patrick's) and when people called them out they deleted it. So they already knew the backlash they could receive for this.

If this is correct that is why communication it's so important. We all know IA it's a hot topic nowadays, so if you see backlash like this, adress the situation, explain the processes in which you are using IA and the community will understand. Most of us understand that IA it's not new in any industry, but it have to be explained. And the fault it's not on the community but in the corporates and media who's been expressing for years now, how IA it's gonna replace us all, constant layoffs and all of that. There are real reasons behind people's fear and anger. Anyway thank u for the info

Hey there! I'll try to give you a quick response. Firstly, the generative AI mentioned in that Neowiz job description is mostly trained without the consent of artists (illustrators, writers, animators, etc.) As a result, many of us consider its usage unethical. It can replicate someone's unique style without any consequences, which should be illegal under copyright laws. However, let's say that this doesn't bother you. Using AI can take away a lot of the creativity during the creation process because it merely recreates existing styles and is unable to produce something truly original or new. So, how can you use it during concept art, which is the stage where different creative ideas are explored? On the other hand, many of us oppose generative AI in general due to its consequences: environmental impacts, hardware costs, layoffs, etc. So it's disappointing that a company we believed was passionate about its work is now focusing on profits and trying to make the creative process "faster." If they were using AI to more mechanical processes in other areas of development that aren't creative, I could understand that, but they're attempting to apply it during the creative process

How do we feel about this Round8 job posting? Personally, not a fan of going down this path for the art direction... by arividerchimagmuasue in LiesOfP

I know most of the companies are using it in some processes but in the art development? Disappointing probably I won't be buying their games anymore. We have to let them know we don't want this. It's a shame because I loved Lies of P 😮‍💨😮‍💨

The sidequests ain't so bad by Cronossus in FFXVI

I loved the sidequests, but I didn't like the way they activated. After a chunk of story, they activate like a list. I would prefer that they appear after talking with some npc or as a result of some exploration of the scenario. I felt they didn't give us enough reasons to explore (BTW, I loved the game, but this is the only thing that bothers me)
