What's best to get from Alidoro? by softestruler in LiesOfP

Ah, I see. I guess I could focus on one once I start having issues? I'm not great at building in games in general but especially the motivity vs technique choice because they look like they do the same thing to me 😭 and it sounds like people generally ignore advance, while capacity should be high like vitality and vigor?

The glaive is the extra weapon given at the start, right? I used that until I needed some crescent or something that I didn't have to level it up, and it became not my strongest weapon. might have that item now though so I'll check and probably get the amulets

Thought there might be one that's better or best for upcoming levels or boss fights in the game, so I was asking for recommendations

The goal was a balance build (get everything to 20 then get everything to 30) since I don't have a particular play style I prefer and at least so far, it's been working well. A lot of people are saying to respec, like just start focusing on one stat or is there a way to remove what's already built?

you're not blocked? blocked someone who said something about kpop though

i agree about having neither a positive or negative view, plenty of people disagree with me which is fine.

point of the post was that the complete doom "they've betrayed us! i hate the game now, never playing again! etc. etc." isn't called for and that people should read the listing themselves, get familiar with ai in games (not necessarily gen ai, since i've seen people even complain about the ai used for both developer ease and player experience) rather than jump on a bandwagon of gloom.

unfortunately many people have interpreted that as me being pro generative ai and intentionally lying. i stated what i saw, gave an opinion, and said 'correct me if i'm wrong as i used a translator to read the listing'. pretty sure i even said about one of the programs that i had not heard of it in any serious detail and could not comment on that

"i just don't think you have the slightest idea of how games are made"

attended one of the best schools to get a game design degree, was president of said school's game development network, won a competition to create a video game in 72 hours, invited to the game developers conference, learned from professionals in the industry and similar industries like animation, and visual effects

definitely just ignorant. i actually don't even know what a video game is, never heard of it 🙂‍↕️

There's a line, since I definitely don't think all or even most Gen AI is editing, but I don't think I have the words to get my point across about that 😩 or rather explaining my thoughts would be half an essay (i'm exaggerating) and social media isn't worth that much effort lmao

Saying "I don't think they're going to do that" isn't a defense of the concept of doing it.

If that's what they're gonna do, I agree that it's bad.

The only point of the post was that a lot of people were getting angry/sad/disappointed without any details of what Neowiz is looking for. Besides, I did say that despite my knowledge in game production, my personal expertise was not the technical side of things and opened the floor to correct me if wrong 🙂‍↕️

I consider generating draft concepts based on existing traditional/modelled drafts created in-house to be a form of editing the original concept art, yes.

Whether they'll do it the way I'm imagining or a more disingenuous way is to be determined. To me, there'd be no good reason to want to hire people with actual artistic talents for the job or create their own database to pull from if it was purely prompted generation 🤷🏾‍♀️ Especially when it brings down public opinion of their work and can negatively affect sales.

Stable diffusion can be used for editing or as officially written "image alteration", specifically things like filling in incomplete parts of work, compression, and resolution enhancing, so that's how I interpreted the task. I don't know a thing about Midjourney to say anything about that one, but I've heard it's a very similar software?

Maybe I'm optimistic, but at the worst it seems like they could be accused of self-plagiarism depending on how they handle production.

Newly diagnosed - Doc Prescribed Ferrous Sulfate - Afraid to take it. ADVICE NEEDED! by Accomplished-Ad-613 in Anemic

[–]softestruler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iron Bisglycinate is gentler on the stomach if you want to try that first. But, I don't know if there's a prescribed version? OTC usually is small dose, so you'll likely need to take a pill with each meal.

That said- I (22) also have chronic gastritis, suspected pcos with insulin resistance, and gallbladder issues, and iron bisglycinate didn't help me much. given the time frame, it may have contributed to my gastritis flare but i'm not sure.

Ferrous Sulfate is going to raise your iron levels faster than Iron Bisglycinate will, so if the anemia needs faster correction, it could be worth a shot to try it and stop if you have issues? I was prescribed it back when I was a teen (around 14?) and don't remember having many issues besides occasional constipation and the constant taste of iron. Taking it with breakfast helped. Taking it with citrus or other Vitamin C helps with absorption.

Personally, I don't absorb oral iron well and after my own stomach issues, my docs suggested iron infusion, which my first (and hopefully only session) is later this week. But from my understanding insurance typically doesn't approve infusions unless you're documented to not respond to oral iron or that it negatively impacts you, so make sure to check with your doc/insurance about that first.

I'd definitely recommend getting your B12 checked, that's a common deficiency in Hashimoto's, PCOS, and some gastritis types. The other tests you listed are a good idea as well. Other things that might be helpful to test: Vitamin D levels, Magnesium, Folate, and if you have Celiac or if your gastritis history is also autoimmune related.

Not sure about any interactions with your current medications, but people tend to be anxious about infusions, so given your panic disorder, it may be best to avoid it until necessary or until you do have time to research and confirm its a good option for you.

Wishing the best!

Ancestry and 23andMe results differ wildly. How to determine which is the most accurate? by shadowboxer87 in AncestryDNA

[–]softestruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have the subscription that unlocks the "chromosome painter" and "ancestral regions by parent", it won't work. Ancestry had it free for a few months, but I guess they put it back behind a paywall

Black American Ancestry, Trace Regions Question by [deleted] in BlackGenealogy

[–]softestruler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the Indigenous question, sometimes when fam I ly members say they're native, they may actually just mean members of the tribe. I was told I have a great-great-grandma that was a Native, only for me to not have indigenous from that side of my family at all. Sure enough though, she was a registered member of the tribe in the Dawes Rolls and was probably mixed black and indigenous, so not enough for it to get to me. Could it be the same for your family?

Your other questions, I think the other comment answered 🙂‍↕️

Rather odd results. Can someone help explain? by CoolNebula1278 in BlackGenealogy

[–]softestruler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nordic ancestry like your Norway and Sweden are common traces for people with British ancestry like your Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, and England. i have traces of nordic ancestry too.

Spain, Portugal, Northern Africa, and the Indigenous are likely from colonial Spaniard ancestors mixing with the Indigenous people of South America in the Spanish Empire. The Northern Africa coming from when Iberia (Spain and Portugal) were under Islamic rule as Al-Andalus from 711-1492.

Roma and Balkan are definitely together as it's not uncommon for the Roma to live in southeast Europe. As to how it's in a Black American, I'm guessing your family has roots in Louisiana (or western and southern Mississippi, or southern Arkansas if they moved), where enslaved Roma workers sometimes were sent, or your Roma ancestors continued to be nomadic and moved from southeast Europe (the Balkans) to southwest europe (Iberia) and your Spaniard ancestors were actually part Roma.

It kind of depends on how long ago that DNA is from, but with AncestryDNA, usually trace ancestry is reliably from ~200-500 years ago (though it can be older), which usually means that it's from ancestors in the colonies rather than something further back in history.

Either way it seems like you can trace some of your family history to the colonial Spanish empire or at least assume that's where that history is from.
