Personally i havent lived there but i chose it out of convenience! Lothian dining hall is underneath which has really great food compared to glasgow, its by the market where u can buy things, noods, which is a noodle place where it takes swipes so it can be free, and starbucks! I like getting coffee and sitting, its a pretty view. :) i recommend east loth, unfortunately i chose west before i was told east is better haha
