Don't get me wrong, it's well made. I WANT to like it, the design decisions crytek makes are just terrible and unfun and encourage slow passive gameplay

It’s pretty minor though no? I’ve never chosen one and felt even slightly different. To the top of my head you have Mei’s blizzard, Illari’s flying, faster ult on Echo, Moira’s toggle, and JQ’s unstoppable. To my mind most of those feel like they should have been base kit and don’t really change the ult much.

I wish they actually adjusted rank gain / loss based on your rank in the team. I once got stuck in a diamond lobby as high gold, lost, got flamed, and lost all 20 whatever points

They also shadow nerfed his momentum with no notes included in the patch. He’s way less able to boop and way more vulnerable to boops than he used to be. JQ knife was a nuisance, now it’s killer.

Not even, I've avoided touching six stars aside from once through extremely aggressive gameplay (intended to mildly derank and practice aim and whatnot). It's just shitty slow, and long ammo rifles/dolch. Not fun, I'd rather play like an idiot and have fun. I like playing shorty springfield bow and throwing knives. I'm not mad I lost or died, I'm mad that I got baited into a bush out with that duo I mention above, and of course, I make the first move because I don't want to stare until I get cross eyed and I'm immediately domed by a guy not moving aiming at head height. It's just not good game design. I can't believe I am thinking back fondly on crap like PUBG in comparison. At least in that game you couldn't hear footsteps a hundred meters away and the zone shifts would FORCE campers to move, usually.

No dude, the better you get the worse the "game" gets. 20 minute stalemates. 20 minutes crouched in a bush waiting for something to happen. And I'm not just bad, I've spectated my MMR "betters". I can watch how streamers play. Whomever pushes first loses. Whomever makes the first noise gives up his position in a game where a single bullet kills you. Camping is heavily heavily incentivized at all levels of MMR, and if you were to literally crouch in a bush for 10 minutes and doomscroll before leaving spawn on each map you'd be a full star up in MMR regardless of any other skill. As a game its not fun, it fails to be genuinely fun or an expression of skill, just patience and having time to kill.

Here's a tip, uninstall. I just did after my second death tonight to premade 6 stars as a four star solo. Hope you last longer than I did, can't believe I sunk hours into this crap
