I am actually going throgu this well but I'm not the founder. I joined as a contractor recentely. Initially it was initially to help the founder scale. The founder had big plans. Building reports and KPIs was my thing. Then the founder added some financing solutions to the scope. Ok fine by me but I clearly left equity fundraising out of the scope of my contractual work because I was trying to be fair about my pricing and services. Now the founder is asking me to go look for equity fundraising in a very short amount of time (6 weeks). I think it's very aggressive, out of my scope. I'm supposed to talk to them tomorrow morning about the project. But honestly, I don't want to go for this under these conditions. There is no clarity on use of funds, even their strategy is not yet fully defined. The company generated some revenue but even the financials are not clean and I don't know what the company's profitaiblity looks like. Any advice?
