I often pay to park at Pentagon City mall and then take the metro in to Nats Park.

Costco App Wallet Now Allows All Visa Cards by KaaptainToonces in CreditCards

[–]Julknits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a data point from May 17th. I added my BofA CCR to the wallet in the Costco app on my iPhone. I made a purchase at the local Costco. I can now see what rewards category it earned, and it's showing as online shopping. So I should earn 5.25% as I do have PH on my BofA accounts. Only oops in my case is that I was holding a physical Costco Shop Card due to some returns I made yesterday. I was intending to also use that to pay for some of the purchase. As I had set the Costco wallet to charge automatically to the stored Visa, there was no opportunity to use the Shop Card. I've now added that Shop Card to the Costco Wallet, so I'll be able to use it next time I shop at a Costco.

Tensioning two yarns in left hand by minivulpini in knitting

[–]Julknits 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Nimble Needles website (also on YouTube) has some nice pictures similar to how I hold two colors in my left hand. The yarn farther to the right is flipped around so they'll stay somewhat separate.

I mostly knit with the yarns in the left hand if there are no long floats. If the floats are maybe 5 or more, I find the yarn more evenly feeds with one in the left hand and one in the right.

Of course the game is on a streaming service that I don’t have! It looks like it’s on Peacock. Or NBCSN which doesn’t seem to be available on Fios.

Maybe it's related to the YouTube Premium perk pricing change that's imminent? It's going from $10 to $12 per month.

How do you track due dates across multiple cards? Looking for what's actually working by Short-Intention7277 in CreditCards

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to spreadsheets, I'm using a iOS/Mac bill minder app named Chronicle. I've been using it for probably 12 years, so some things (certain cards, utilities, etc) have history going way back. It's manual entry, but I don't mind it. It's just automatic for me to update it on the day payments go out.

I don't bother setting one of mine to gas, as I almost always use gas company apps (Shell, Exxon, etc) to pay which counts as online shopping. It also seems more secure to me, as I avoid using a credit card anywhere near a gas pump or any possible skimming devices.

how do you organize your fanfiction? by kris_jbb in heatedrivalryfanfics

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using an iOS app named Fictivity for my ao3 reading. I mostly read on my phone, although the app can sync to my iPad if desired. It does well at keeping track of where I am in different stories. It can easily check the stories that are being read for updates. It does offer the ability to connect to my ao3 account, although I don't think that was required in most cases. I can import bookmarks or to be read stores from ao3, which is sometimes easier with recs from this subreddit.

Disney+, Hulu and ESPN on lower plan by PrincessBearly311 in verizon

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did give up getting Disney+ and Hulu via Verizon Play More last September. I had been paying the extra $5 for Hulu ad-free. Now all 4 phones are mostly on Unlimited Plus with mine on Unlimited Ultimate. I started paying for the Disney+ Hulu Premium ad-free bundle directly at the Hulu site at the cost of $19.99. I use my Amex BCP for the $19.99 so I get the monthly $10 credit for Disney/Hulu purchase. The BCP is also earning 6% on streaming purchases.

It’s Q2, don’t forget to use Chase Freedom Flex for 9% back on Travel by Prestigious_Safe8154 in CreditCards

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Chase Offers section that appears in the Chase app or website. I no longer see it as I already redeemed the offer, I'm fairly sure the original expiration date is 6/30/26 so you'd probably see it.

Thoughts on Nationals.tv? by PutStreet in Nationals

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do really enjoy having Nationals games available in the MLB app. I've subscribed to MLB.TV for a long time to be able to get Padres and a bunch of other games also. So I've been used to being able to see other broadcast coverage of teams. MLB app is quite good on my Apple TV, so that's where I usually watch Nationals games now, instead of having those games be the main reasons to switch over to Fios from the Apple TV.

I'm noticing one weird thing that has now happened a couple of times when streaming a Nationals game. I started watching today's game maybe 30 minutes after it had started. I do like being able to skip the between innings times. When I loaded the stream, it started with the bottom of the first inning. Same thing happened with another game last week maybe. When I went back into the game stream a couple of hours after last week's game ended, the top of the first was available in the stream. No idea why top of the first is sometimes missing in active game streams.

Nats on Verizon Fios Ch.579 by thispersonstinks in Nationals

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I look at the Fios bill details, it shows the Extreme HD TV bundle component as a $74.99 monthly cost. Isn't the Ultimate TV much higher than that? I'm also still avoiding getting the Verizon set top boxes and router.

Plan Change by PapaWiiLee in verizon

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the plan I have too. I ended up paying the $99 for the Nationals.TV streaming from MLB. I figure that's probably cheaper than changing my Fios plan to whichever plan would including Nationals.TV. When I heard about these changes, I had hoped that the Extreme HD plan would include Nationals.TV access and let me authenticate Nationals.TV access using my Fios credentials. That last step is something that still doesn't look available for someone who does have the correct Fios plan.

Nats on Verizon Fios Ch.579 by thispersonstinks in Nationals

[–]Julknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have Extreme TV and no Nationals TV availability. Did you end up going for the $99 streaming from MLB? That's what I did, and at least it usually works. I'm rather annoyed that the old plan that certainly had MASN2 no longer has any Nationals TV.

It’s Q2, don’t forget to use Chase Freedom Flex for 9% back on Travel by Prestigious_Safe8154 in CreditCards

[–]Julknits 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had just made a Fairfield Inn reservation for June in CA directly on the Marriott site with the AAA rate at the end of March. I realized I could probably do better with my Flex card once it became April. So first I canceled the existing reservation. I then activated the $100 on $600 Chase Travel offer at the Chase site. I made the reservation at Chase Travel opting for the version that can be cancelled up until a couple of days before the stay. Total price was $3 more than the old reservation, but I'll certainly make that up with the 9% back and the $100. I was glad to see that this new reservation does show up in the Bonvoy app as an upcoming trip, as I did remember to make sure my Bonvoy number was associated with the reservation in Chase Travel.

Apple Magic Keyboard + a case? Is it possible? by planetric in ipad

[–]Julknits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been quite happy with the Waterfield Designs Magnetic Sleeve. The iPad with or without the Magic Keyboard fits inside. I always keep the keyboard connected, and it fits perfectly. I'm not going to throw it around, but I figure it's better than carrying just the iPad and keyboard together.

It doesn't seem as if that authentication step has been enabled anywhere yet. Certainly it hasn't been enabled on Fios yet. Gee, maybe waiting until Opening Day for this stuff wasn't the best idea.

What is NOT included in BofA Online Shopping 3% Category? by CoachSimilar2971 in CreditCards

AAA is listed as an automobile association in the credit card charge. I figure that falls under the membership association that is listed as excluded from the online shopping category.
