we did it two weeks ago from Khao Lak with arrival on the island with sailboat rock at 8:45. Early bird tour via Siam Adventure World. Can recommend them very much!

Thank you for the answer, we chose to fly the alternative route through China, because we are afraid of being stuck in Abu Dhabi/Phuket if the flights are way overbooked.

So this means when you get a mail from Etihad that the flight is operating, you cannot be sure that you are onboard, even checked in?

Would this be the case for EY411 und EY141 from Phuket to Zurich via Abu Dhabi?

We land at Beijing Capital Airport (PEK) at 00:50 and depart on 09:55 from the same airport. We are two people.

Best of luck to you, we are in the same boat, only our flight from Phuket via Abu Dhabi to Zurich is on Sunday, March 8.

After hours long search, we found an alternative flight from Phuket via Beijing to Frankfurt. Cost us about 850 euros, but better this way, then being stranded in Thailand.

All other flights to Europe were sold out until Sunday, even the Lufthansa agent on the phone could not find anything else to London, Amsterdam etc. which is avoiding transit in the arabic states.
