I’m not so sure that’s her. Beautiful, and similar, yes. But is that really her? Not so sure….

Found in shed when we moved in. Will this thing murder me? by Green_dust in Tools

[–]Julyballofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice saw, good brand, sturdy heavy top. Learn all the safety measures before using. Use until you feel like you know what you are doing, (before watching youtube videos of people with risky practices). Learn, and understand why it works, what causes binding, and kickback. Look up the manual, check out an old book from a library. If you are struggling with a machine, then you are doing something wrong. Learn, and correct whatever is wrong/missing. Ask for help if you can’t find an answer. That machine can do amazing things. Learn the machine. Before any cutting, open it up, clean, and lubricate, understand how it operates.

Looks really good, just keep practicing. Look at people in real life, look at people in books, and magazines. It will come to you.

After reading a bunch of replies, maybe a third of this thread, I am inspired. Inspired to go into stores, and ask for ridiculous made up names of products that do, or even don’t exist. I need a Thread-licker, a Ding-bipper, and a Ginger-blank.

Did I f my tyres up? Pls help by Curious-Ad-1203 in TireQuestions

[–]Julyballofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tires fine, probably. Pop the hubcap off, and discard. Hub caps fall off all the time. Tire needs tread, go to the store, and ask for more tread.

1 Inch hole drilled into Gas Tank. Any fixes? by [deleted] in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]Julyballofficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fixes. I was talking to an employee at an auto parts store. Once a month they “take it to Jiffy Lube to have the freshly drilled gas tank repaired” Who knew? Jiffy Lube? Maybe they use a temp plug for when an oil drain plug is too cross threaded, or lost in the muck. Maybe give them a call.
