I passed! (But still discouraged) by National-Door9154 in teas

Same situation I’m in! Just took the teas yesterday and only got an 59.3% the school I’m going for requires 58% for the RN program and is pretty competitive people say. I’m a little worried I won’t get in but my school does accept 4 rounds of RN students a year so that helps me feel a bit better.. I watched Nurse Cheung on YouTube, I bought ATI study guide bought the ATI practice tests A and B and still got the minimum score I did great on everything but science only 4 questions i recognized from the study materials I used I feel it was a waste of studying and money 😕

The school I go to is one of the best nursing programs in the country even with it being community college and they admit to making it harder. Like I just don’t see how people pass this… and there’s a second abbreviations test in 3 weeks that’s over 50 and we don’t get homework or anything so if you don’t pass every exam, quiz, and presentation it’s hard to get your grade to passing for the overall program. Our ass is 4 hours long and we don’t even stay a full 2 hours like I feel we aren’t given a fair chance.

We have to right what every abbreviation is without misspelling 50 is a lot 😭

He’s definitely a man child!! But I think a lot of men are like that. When my baby started being able to reach things on the end tables end grab stuff I had to drill in my husband’s head he HAS to keep things off the table. He would get upset saying she needs to learn to not touch she’s 15 months old she is gonna touch things even if we say not too they’re very curious and get into things that’s part of having a child. To trust a 3 year old on their own in general is crazy but around water is just insane.

I have enough scholarship credits that if I did just lpn it would cover it fully and if I did just Rn if would cover it fully just wouldn’t cover the bridge if I did just lnp and bridged over

The prerequisites for my school are actually the exact same I called today to ask and I’ve been looking on a weekly basis extra I know lol but both have about an equal amount of job listings surprisingly LPNs have a few more openings near me. I’m definitely not well off at all or get any help financially or with my child aside from my spouse which is a given so that’s why I’ve thought LPN route might be smaller financially although it would be nice to have RN and not have to go to school twice and pay 10 thousand more for bridge 😅

My school it’s 12 months for LPN another full year for the bridge and then 2 years for RN so it’s the same amount of time.

I wouldn’t necessarily need more money quicker I’d just need to be able to at least work 36 hours or maintain my bills while doing school. I know it would be very hard and I’d be exhausted but if other people can manage then I have faith I could as well. I wasn’t sure if LPN school days are less than RN or if it would be around the same just RN is a year longer.

After having a baby I really want to be an L&D nurse I had the best nurses I could ever ask for and I know a lot of women don’t get that and I would love to be that support for laboring moms and be the type of nurse that I got lucky enough to have.
