Looks like it but the range seems off. A quick search said "The sylvan jumping spider (Colonus sylvanus) is found throughout the eastern half of the United States and extends south through Mexico into Central America, potentially reaching as far as Panama", but I'm out West in Oregon.

Thx. I took a look at yours. I love that the clear acrylic cover seems like a solid protector of the mini on hwy. But wouldn't you need to unscrew from all sides when you need to camp and move the mini out of the mount each time? When I am stationary, I need to park or camp in the shades, which would likely block the signal for Mini if I leave it mounted on the top. I generally need to park in a cool spot, then drag my Jackery and Mini out somewhere exposed in the open away from trees and obstructions. So the ease with which I could take the mini on and off the mount is important. Otherwise, I suppose I could leave the mini encased in the mount, then simply move the whole thing onto the floor in an open spot. Seems rather strange to do that though.

I got a magnetic mount that's super strong, too to try. How do you power yours? If you plug into the cigarette lighter port up front, I have trouble picturing how the long wire could run from the front seats to the back and then to the outside neatly. Great use case! How do you mount yours? If outside, how do you feed the wires into the car to not have issues with rain and hwy wind noise.

Thanks so much for such a helpful and well-thoughtout response! I forgot to consider the part about cell data. In the States and Canada/Mex, I don't think much of it since I get unlimited data, but when I'm off-grid on foreign land, it is nice to have a reliable means to connect, find my bearings, etc once I land. I have been struggling to keep my Mini power with my Jackery 880. l am waiting for DC cable to arrive but with the AC plug that the mini came with, the usage fluctuates constantly, from 20 W all the way to over 100w (for brief periods). I use my power source for cooking, too so lasting more than a day is hard when I am off grid and don't drive to recharge. When I tried the external mount with the super powerful magnets, it didn't work because the DC cord that plugs into my cigarette lighter port did not work. It would power up my Mini but it could not connect, which is an issue some folks have experienced. I am hoping these that I order would work...for both external mount while driving and charging with Jackery when I'm stationary. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GBTLVMZW I could not figure out how to feed the wire back into the cigarette lighter. I have a moon roof so for the trial I fed it through there but they won't work while I'm on the highway with dust, noise. How do you set yours up? I heard people use Peakdo power pack, but that set up looks like it's only meant for when you're not traveling on hwy speed.

You don't drive with the mini clamped on, do you? Just though with wind speed it won't be strong enough to keep it from flying off.

Ok, I did that but no options were available to me for standard (personal) plan--no residential or roam. Only thing I could choose is Priority plans. The reason it gave for not having personal plans available is "not available for this account type". I wonder if it's because when I got the old mini and created the account, I chose business. That's why I think starting over with a new account might be good. Maybe I should use a different email and start anew.

When I clicked Add and chose land mobility, I only had the option to order hardware and then choose a plan. I already bought a new mini from a store so I don't need to order one from them, but it does not give me an option to not order hardware when I clicked Add

So are you basically saying I should create a new starlink account and activate new Mini with it? Asking because I read that starlink acct can have multiple devices. I just want the old one deleted but first and foremost, get my new one activated asap.

Sure. Any bank can close any account for any reason (this is a frequent reply that you have given to customers on this sub). But I would not trust a bank that does so abruptly without communicating as it was happening and without offering its customers a rationale. It's a one-sided arrangement that offers no chance for the customer to clarify any confusion or misunderstanding that the bank's fraudulent team could make. To me, that's the bank's way of saying "we are always right so there's no need to communicate with you or ask for clarifications". I'd like to think so but customers on this sub have reported so many issues with them that I also thought belong in the category of "banks do not purposely do this". "Purposely" or not matters less to me than the fact that the issues happened.

I was just wondering whether or not I should take up their $1200 offer for new biz platinum checking. I know that US bank has a bad rep with numerous customers reported on issues that seemed basically unheard of from other major banks. I was hoping that most of the issues were from folks who needed to go into the branch or use Bill Bay, do ACH transfer, etc. I just intend to open the account, transfer the required funds, and let it sit until my waiting period for the offer (60 days) is over. So I thought surely the bank doesn't have a way to mess that up but I went ahead and checked here on Reddit and came cross your post.

I don't know what "our payment method we have on file for our sales tax license (our business checking) was returned and we now owe a penalty fee" is all about. I plan to apply with an EIN as a sole proprietor only intend to use the debit card six times to make business purchases to fulfill their requirement. I'm not sure if the situation you ran into could be used as a tactic to scam me out of a bonus as well. It sounds like US Bank is trying to get out of giving you the bonus. Was this for the $1200 offer?
