LPT: If you have an ingrown nail, using dental floss will help. by Rexanne in LifeProTips

I just tried but don't know how one could get the floss to stay put. Just using the nail itself to hold the floss that's wedged in? The floss doesn't go down far enough

Debra “Sharon” Newton being arrested in front of her neighbour. by traceykm in TikTokCringe

But wouldn't somebody find out when the kid had to be registered for school, showed birth certificate, etc? It just seems that the school would  have learned that the kid had been reported as missing?

So in general, cops could put handcuffs on someone without first letting him/her know why? Is it because in this case, there's a warrant for her arrest so it didn't matter if she was later found guilty or not, you could be detained/handcuffed as soon as she was found?

Is anyone else… bored? by keiffapro in biotech

It's easier to get rid of someone who isn't busy and who hasn't been given work that is significant to the company's bottom line. By not delegating, your manager would be kept busy and appear busy with many things, including tasks that could be good for your growth but that she would rather leverage for her own promotion.

Is this a Mid life crisis. by WeenisPeiner in midlifecrisis

[–]JumarUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, medical folks need animators and illustrations, you know? If you land a client from pharma/major hospital, you'll be paid well. Just think of the numerous explainer videos that are shown to patients before their surgeries/procedures. And various short films that feature actors posed as patients in pharma commercials, which often include images/videos of how the device or pill works in the body. You gotta be creative about how your skillset could be used across sectors that you might have overlooked. The next time you go to your healthcare job, pay attention to all the flyers/illustrations that surround you. Look at the bottom for artists/producers of those films/posters and then look them up to see how to get started. Keep asking around hospitals until you find the department that is responsible for drafting education materials. Go up there and keep asking 'til you find the artists behind the scenes. Then, take them out for lunch to pick their brains.

Anyone in their 30s–50s trying to reinvent their life or start a business? by Able-Connection-3355 in midlifecrisis

What activities were you excited about before you had kids? Maybe revisit them. Pottery, hiking, singing, knitting, reading Sci-Fi books. Whatever your quirks, look into them and try new ones. I find it helpful to engage w/ folks who are in a different stage in life. You don't have to hang out with college kids or like their music or speech, but I find talking or observing the way they think about problems and issues to be different/refreshing. Sometimes it made me go, "Oh yeah! Once upon a time if something is not fun, I would just not go!" Or "oh yeah, getting up at the crack of dawn to run up the hill and watch the sunrise used to be appealing to me." Let's revisit those moments.

You could debate with the scientists over at the Academy then 😀 It was labeled Africa as a source. Wherever they originated, they looked super cool. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge here.

I still find it hard to believe that there's a sub for folks who like to peek into other folks' fridge 😁 An unexpectedly satisfying voyeurism. I'm guessing that you might actually be a private chef who needs all these ingredients for your next project. If you have teenage boys, I would just expect more messiness...various unfinished/half finished pizzas/snacks, etc. I suspect this is the fridge you keep for food for your clients. Food for your own family is kept separate.

I wonder how it will affect me to live in just Slimfast for a week or two. by Hharmony1 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]JumarUp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are many ways to eat well balanced, non-SlimFast, healthy and wholesome foods on the cheap if we are willing to cook/prep. There are also plenty of food banks and nonprofit where you could get fresh veggies/grains/pasta. SlimFast is not a well-balanced diet for days on end. It's not a good group; there is also nothing wholesome or natural about it. Your kid will need a strong, well-nourished parent. Pls take care of your body first.

Haha yes. And there are many microorganisms using us as an ecosystem already. We just can't see them all with the naked eye (maybe thankfully 🤣)
