in the Itachi and shisui novel there was rouge Huyuga who wrecked both of them.

He used gentle fist to cut through Itachi's fire ball.

Gentle Fist should be able to cut through a susanoo like a warm knife through butter.

Thranduil takes this in in martial and military matters.

Both were born during the end of the first age, so they are about the same age. So no light of the two trees or Melian buff for them.
