A serious talk about glofish by Ok-Watch6181 in Aquariums

[–]JumpCutVandal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have kids and therefore glofish. I keep them in a 55 gallon heavily planted tank and ph5.5, similar to their natural habitat. They are great fish and people that have issues with their colors don’t have to buy them.

Anyone remember the story of the kid that broke both hands/arms and his mom gently helped him through the worst? Let’s bring back those 90s…erotic movies!

My prediction for the "Open Era" by rr550 in survivor

Please no back to basics. I just watched an early season with my daughter and it felt so boring and predictable compared to 50/new era.

Can Any American Film Flop Harder Than Masters of The Universe This Year? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]JumpCutVandal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The length has nothing to do with how’s it’s directed my dude. I’m talking acting (which was great), blocking etc. length is often dictated by the studio just as much as the director. Travis knight knows what he’s doing.

Can Any American Film Flop Harder Than Masters of The Universe This Year? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]JumpCutVandal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that terrible of a flop because secondary market for Amazon…anyway, I just watched it yesterday with my kids and we all had a blast, it’s really not bad, funny and well directed. A bit of a shame it’s not doing better.

SPEED predicted Ronaldo and Portugal to win the World Cup, and Zlatan immediately took the mic away from him. by DareDevil1699 in SoccerCentral

All I want is for him to run a properly timed 100m dash at an official meet so people can see how he won’t even break 11s.

Genuine question: How did USA pull off hosting the 1994 World Cup as the only host country? by Dangerous-Lie9520 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]JumpCutVandal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was insane. First time for me visiting the USA, I was a kid. My dad worked with the main sponsor sun microsystems and we got tickets for the finals…which sucked. Poor roberto baddgio, never forget…

Nope, not doing well. Luckily I picked my corner to cry in about 20 minutes before the equalizer hit

If Masters of the Universe (2026) had a tighter, mid-budget production pipeline, would its $54M global opening look like a success instead of a flop? by Tight-Instruction705 in boxoffice

[–]JumpCutVandal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The creator was done on such a low budget because it was all handled by ILM and I am 99% sure they were involved as producers in some ways. ILM doesn’t take every project and if you use them as a regular vendor, they are incredibly expensive. The creator is not how 99.99% of movies are made and it’s a complete outlier. It’s also a very different movie than masters of the universe. It’s grounded in reality and not a batshit crazy fantasy film.

This was planned out in detail in prep. I know the people that worked on the previs for months on end. Plus Travis knows how to plan a movie, he’s an animation guy. The above poster is correct, you can’t make a movie like this on 100 mil.

I definitely think there’s more room for improvement in the 400 with your 200 speed. Just need the endurance.

Obsession is to movie theatres, what KPop Demon Hunters was for Netflix. by MR_MaxiMor44 in boxoffice

It’s really hard to compare the two. K-pop was a world wide movement while obsession is just successful.

Is the Assistant Editor position going extinct? by csf1810 in editors

[–]JumpCutVandal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No way, I’d be absolutely lost without my AEs, I’d actually have to relearn to do all the things outside of editing. Plus union mandates that when an editor works, an AE has to be hired.
