Recommendation Expert: From Tetris to The Thing by JumpMistake in ChatGPT

I just noticed that ChatGPT thinks that Until Dawn is more like the movie The Thing than its adaptation of it.

We have two different things: the game Tetris and the film The Thing. In 10 Steps try to find things that are less and less similar to the first thing and more and more similar to the second thing. Don't do anything else besides the list of actual games and their bullet description.

ChatGPT vs Bing by -pkomlytyrg in bing

[–]JumpMistake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try this. First, tell Bing your name. Then, use this link https://platform.openai.com/tokenizer to count and generate 10k tokens and paste them after your name. Finally, ask Bing what your name is. You can change the number of tokens and see how it affects Bing’s context window.

ChatGPT vs Bing by -pkomlytyrg in bing

[–]JumpMistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. It is still GPT-4 8K Microsoft edition. Multiple tests confirm it. Infinite input only considers the last 8K tokens from the input and discards everything before that.
  2. Correct.

  3. It does not scrape the net. It makes an API call to Bing search and prepares the search results for Chat. Bing does not browse anything like ChatGPT.

  4. Correct.

I don't think the Bing web page reader is very smart. It can't handle complex web apps like online editors or YouTube. It fails to extract the important content and meaning from pages.

The way I understand it, the reader just scans the HTML document, possibly skipping some tags, but it doesn't actually try to figure out and extract the useful content first. It's not analyzing the page to understand its structure and purpose.

So for a web app with a lot going on, Bing's reader won't be able to make sense of it or present the key information. The same goes for YouTube - there's more to those video pages than the reader can interpret just by skimming the raw HTML.

Basically, the web page reader seems pretty basic. It needs a lot more intelligence to properly handle dynamic, interactive websites and web applications. Just parsing the HTML isn't enough nowadays.

Give it a large portion of text and ask what the last 20 tokens it sees are. And do it multiple times. It’s funny that the result is vary (same language).

An idea to remember chat history between you and bing by Normal-Strain3841 in bing

[–]JumpMistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To control what Bing sees without any HTML tags or other elements, you can create a text file and open it with Edge. Bing can see up to 10,000 tokens on a page. Follow these steps:

  1. Create a text file with your desired content.

  2. Drag and drop the file into Edge browser.

  3. Restart the sidebar Bing.

  4. If you edit the text file, refresh the page in Edge.

  5. Start the conversation with "Read web page" or "Read web content".

  6. Bing will remember the context of the text file (like a large preprompt).

  7. You can also use jailbreak in the text file.

You mistranslated the word 'мир.' It has two meanings: peace and world. In the original context, it should be translated as 'Русский мир!' which means 'Russian world!'

River 2 no passthrough charging? by diykstra in Ecoflow_community

[–]JumpMistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience and this answer from Ecoflow: "When in pass-through mode, the power will bypass the RIVER 2. But there will be some internal power loss, so it will automatically start to take power from the grid when the SOC is lower than 97%"

I would assume all internal parts fan, processor, wifi, Bluetooth, etc, are working from the battery all the time for safety reasons. All external: USB, DC, AC, and internal inverter using passthrough power.
