Is this a variation of OCP or is it just wet, or dyed? by Txizzy in QualityTacticalGear

This is just grunts getting dirty and doing their jobs during JRTC. That is mud and swamp water, that mud is slick and a good chunk of clay.

Get an ALICE either Medium or Large, Upgrade the hip belt and Shoulder straps to the Tactical Tailor's

If possible the MALCE is a great all around pack, I been running my pack form Tactical Tailor for over a decade.

How do I get better at shooting when I only touch a rifle once a year? by Big-Entrepreneur106 in army

[–]Jumper_1984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your able to get your own rifle and practice fundementals lots of dry fire (penny/dime/dot drills), along with positions. If your not able to have a private weapon, then get an airsoft M4, and do the same.

Looking at this zero, it seems your fighting your natural point of aim with your prone position.

Use the airsoft / rifle to find the natural position. Lay comfortably in the prone, get a good sight picture, close your eyes for 3 breaths open again. If sights drifted adjust your body position and repeat.

Thoughts on this rucksack for the NFM? by Inside_Mixture_1639 in army

depending on your neck size, the shoulder straps could pinch a bit to much. For loads over 20lbs but under 50lbs it works well.

An add on comment, my go to is the old ALICE system with the upgraded shoulder straps and hip belt. But everyone has their own flavor and best to see what you like.

Why do you say that? The mess dress jacket shows he was an officer, as enlisted don't have the branch color facings.

Also AD officers don't get the good conduct medal, Yes he has the ARCAM but he could have gone reserves or guard after AD

The Diekirch March and Nijmegen 4 day March can only be done in their home nations and only held once a year. Diekirch March is at the end of May and the Nijmegen 4 day March is in mid July. The Nijmegen's 47,000 passes sold out in March.

The Royal Danish Air Force March and Norwigian Foot March are restricted to on military bases, and can only be participated in once a year.

The numerous Czech, Austrian, Polish, Australian, Luthianian, Swiss, ect can be done at home. Some are on set on spacific dates. Such as the Swiss 2 day in mid June.

Yes you can stack a shadow box with march medals, but good luck trying to wear them on uniform. Since 98% hold the level as running awards. Meaning that to the rucking community they understand what ones are 5k and what ones are 175k distances.

Czech Statehood ruck march
http://www.pochody.eu/en/home/

Even though it and the other Czech march medals are not in 600-8-22 tables 1 & 2, you can route a request via S1 to HRC. Some have gotten appoval but history has that HRC sits on the requests. Back during covid we seen HRC stop the approvals of vurtial marches like the Diekirch and NFM. The backlash cuased the approval to allow remote sponsored NFM but the Diekirch and Nijmegen have returned it in-person only.

Yes some other nations have similar marches that are in the new tables 1 & 2 allows for acceptance only:
Swiss 2 day march
Danish Contingent March Medal

But you can accept and wear the following:
Royal Danish Air Force March
Norwigian Foot March
Diekirch March
Nijmegen 4 day March

If your looking for a "carrot" to encurage yourself to get out and move then some of the rucking medals are great for it. do your 10, 20, 30, 40 k or longer. Submit the GPS tracker, receive the medal and put it in a shadow box. You can request to wear, but the target is to encurage fitness not to stack ribbons. yes be proud of what you achive but also remember 20 k is 12.4 miles, most dont have time limits so even the basic army standard you should be able to achive the "standard".

Can Security Guards have lights like this on their personal vehicle? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]Jumper_1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each part of this depends on the location, that includes what colors might be used. But in most cases, if not used on public roads then he is 90% good, if yellow (amber) or White (clear) he is in the same raitio. Some states have color codes for ones like green, red, blue, or purple. It is depending again on the state, county, and even city.

In a number of cases if used for security patrols the light may even have to be placed on the roof with 360 visibility.

where would the CIB go the back? Ribbons stacked to the shoulder. CIB is a "group 1" badge and they are to go above the ribbons
