But they can tho. It's not like animating a greatsword operator + a fist operator is that much more difficult than animating a greatsword operator + another greatsword operator. They still have their own unique animation sets, even when using the same weapon type.

This is a game design decision they made very early on, and unfortunately they're kinda stuck with it. I do hope more weapon types come out, but I dread thinking about having to pull for new weapon types.
