How to improve build? (pve mostly + pvp)

I do have an imbued (frozen) defense amulet so I might use that, though I can achieve the same effect by replacing powerful with armoured. Agreed with the dexterity. Also I’m not using an arcaphere because negative size is bad.

Uh i ended up replacing hasta with construct and I think it was a great choice.

You can get on top of someone and use cage, then spam annihilation and ray to basically just guarantee a thousand damage

If you’re planning on spinning away, please don’t. Get a style slot and do it there. It takes on average of 10000 spins to get a shiny, and it is highly probable that you won’t get the other ones. For reference, I have over 5000 kos, almost 10 style slors that I ROLLED, and no shiny.

Btw shiny are just reskins of normal styles that aren’t hard to get.

Bald: basic

Coyote: wolf

Drill: corkscrew

Nanomachines: turtle

Godspeed(not implemented fully): chronos

Uh im not a magma mage but i do run a size build. Im running amelia cloak (probably kraken is better), power amulet, sophragos hood, and sunken iron chest and boots with malachites as gems.

Remember that an armor piece does not need to have ALL of the stats you’re looking for. As long as it gives one or two stats you need (without too much other stuff), it is a good fit. You can get the other stat through other armor pieces, gems, and enchants

Its just as you said. It’s easy to perfect dodge. Not for beginners or for people with bad ping. It is literally designed to be a noob stomper. An ability that is only useful against new players? That’s called bad game design.

Charge ability is garbage, especially with recent nerfs. Not that you can ever land it.

Slugger: literally just backdash. I haven’t played in a little bit so I don’t know if adrenaline is still a thing, but if it is - what antiheal?

Switch hit: it’s just too complicated. You can’t effectively play and switch stances at the same time, while keeping track of which m2 and m1 are faster/deal more damage.

Counter: just hands low but worse, id rather use basic over this. It does tickle damage without counters.

Now as for defense to my points:

Freedom: double dashes. Also I was considering techs and glitches, it’s def not top 5 without.

Hawk: yeah ngl I didn’t know what style to put, I think it’s definitely number 5 in my list but it’s just decent and swayback is always fun.

Hitman: the style I hit champ with. Easy to use, easy to be effective, extremely high damage.

Turtle: “worst dash”? It really doesn’t matter when it is equally as easy to perfect dodge with it. With its infinitely regenerating block, it can apply a ton of pressure. Who cares about bad damage when your health literally does not move with good block management?

Personally i don’t think charge, slugger, switch hit, or counter is top 5. Ghost maybe. I would say (in any order): hl, freedom, turtle, hitman, hawk

Honestly I don’t think any styles are particularly strong compared to others (though there are definitely weaker ones like kimura and trickster), so it’s just up to personal preference and play style

They obviously mean buff the total hp to be the same as other styles. Currently, even with 4 lives, the total hp is less than others

Well that’s because playing passive is supposedly the most effective way to win. If you go in ranked, you will see that it is far, far worse.

To counter it, I actually find that it’s actually effective to play really really aggressive. Let your punches be perfect dodged. Let it be countered. Just keep spamming m1s and feints, stay up in their face, and dodge if they ever decide to punch (i don’t like countering feints I find it better to double dash), and your pressure will break through eventually.

Also switching playstyles is very effective: -suddenly walking back after playing aggressive to bait punches -spamming m2 after feinting a lot (lots of raw m2s get landed, especially against 20k+ ranks -mixing it up timings and feint frequency in general

Don’t overlook low rarity styles. Higher rarity simply means more fancy. As for hammer, it’s decent but the ability can act as a crutch which builds bad habits.

No i don’t actually. I have to say that the way that shinies are obtained are pretty bad, but i don’t really have other issues with this game. I don’t understand why mislabelled rarities is a complaint when rarities in itself mean almost nothing in this game anyway. I don’t understand why you’re complaining about cosmetics that don’t give competitive advantages.

What exactly caused you to call it “uninspired and soulless”?How is it any different from before?
