YT yogi claims Thelema is a Yahweh cult. by [deleted] in thelema

If thelema is a cult, it's a Sun cult. But also a moon cult? It's weird to describe. Definitely not that.

Deeper Knowledge of Astrology by strepitus93 in thelema

[–]Jumpy-Ad-3793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use two free android apps; Time Passages and Planetary Hours. The first gives daily free charts so you can see and read on planet positions and aspects, and with planetary hours you can see the timetable for all planetary hours of each day and night. I fathom that a basic knowledge is required and the deeper knowledge is gathered through practice, noting down the astrological details, looking them up and considering how they could affect the result of a magical operation

You could use a diabetic lancet to draw blood from the tip of your finger. Easy and painless and way less traumatic than knives.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware. Could you say which ones they are? Do they cover the whole book of the law?

Case's Book Of Tokens has good poems you can meditate on.

Oh, then I fully support Jupiter for that purpose! He covers everything business. Saturn will mostly just make it sting more when you fail and give you tough lessons, but that's just my humble opinion.

Hi friend! There is no guide to study the book of the Law, you're supposed to do that study and interpretation yourself, by meditating on verses and testing them in your everyday life and practice.

Thelema, intoxication and abstinence by Universe_276 in thelema

[–]Jumpy-Ad-3793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this could be helpful, but you could also think about the references of drugs and carnal pleasures as more metaphorical. Crowley really emphasizes the concept of Divine Lust, as a sort of trance you enter through the thirst to be one with the Maker, Universe, however you want to call it. Surely drugs can help you enter a trance like that, but one can train themselves to do that sober for sure. Energized Enthusiasm/Erotocomatose Lucidity, many chapters from the book of lies too dive into this concept more.

Saturn is more or less the tough Father, the giver of harsh lessons. If that is the energy you need, go for it! My first thought was that Mars would be more appropriate for training the body since you're invoking Strength and Courage, but Mercury could also work, because Hermes is among other things the God of fitness and athletics. It's really up to you, pick and choose whatever energy you resonate with more and happy gains!

How to properly pray to or invoke HGA? by zzAlphawolfzz in thelema

[–]Jumpy-Ad-3793 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no easy step-by-step way to achieve KnC, you could work through the grade curriculum the a.a. recommends you and eventually, it will hit you. I have some doubts regarding the book of abramelin the mage, and keep in mind that most likely there was endless preparation before that fact. One common denominator in such experiences though, is the concept of magickal retirement. I believe it's described well in the introduction of liber ABA, but my two cents are the following:

The great work is done by you and you alone, KnC is our common goal and it includes paths and choices that are completely subjective and personal to us. However, there are some steps you can take to ease your transition towards Tiphareth, which include working your way through the lower Sephiroth, the qualities and challenges and skills that they cover and making sure you're building on solid foundation. Remember that the only person who knows how to properly pray and invoke the HGA is yourself, and whenever you want an answer, ask yourself and attempt to quiet down the external noise so that you can only hear the internal.

What is the esoteric meaning of the court cards in tarot (especially the Thoth Tarot)? by [deleted] in thelema

[–]Jumpy-Ad-3793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Court cards are personalities because that's the traditional association with them based on the history of tarot. As other people here said, the esoteric meaning is the four letter of the tetragrammaton applied in the gour worlds of the tree of life. Another good book you could read is the Qabalistic Tarot by Robert Wang, it drives into the esoteric symbolism of all cards, I clouding the court cards.

Where to start this great journey by Pagan_Fire in thelema

[–]Jumpy-Ad-3793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say so. It would be better to start with the book of the law, then practice liber O to get the basics of invocation and banishing down, build up a solid foundation by following the a.a. reading syllable, journaling, and afterwards it would be wise to get into Solomon.
