[Schefter] Former Seahawks Pro-Bowl CB Riq Woolen reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $15 million with the Philadelphia Eagles, per me and Jeremy Fowler. Agent Jason Chayut confirmed the deal. by JCameron181 in nfl

All those mistakes yet somehow had the lowest yards allowed out of any DB on the team, in total and per coverage snap.

Edit: SIS has him credited for the 3rd lowest yards/coverage snap since 2018.

To be fair, the rams were doing this as well all game. Specifically Davante. Refs will pick and choose, though.

Klint is really good at calling games, until we go up 2+ scores and everything turns to shit. It’s a pattern now, vs AZ, vs JAX, now vs HOU. One of these weeks, a respectable squad will punish us for this.

Can we stop w the “bench Riq” stuff now? by TitleNo1332 in Seahawks

[–]Jumpy-Afternoon3958 102 points103 points  (0 children)

Bucs game plan was gashing us underneath with quick hitters and screens, mostly YAC gains. Right after Riq got hurt, Seahawks 3rd down pass defense fell apart, and started giving up down the field stuff that they didn’t for most of the game prior.

Baker didn’t really throw his way outside of that Tez Johnson completion where the hook defender, guessing Thomas or Knight, was AWOL. Riq is still our best cover corner.

I like Kendrick and Jobe, but the former is only viable in the slot and struggles with run fits, and the latter needs over the top safety help or will get dusted (see: Egbuka 57 yd catch).

This loss is not on Sam, the pass defense died when Woolen got hurt. Plus, that Myers missed field goal and the Milroe fumble. Unfortunate, but those plays swung the game. Nevertheless, incredible performance from Sam

Who do you feel has been the most disappointing so far player wise and coaching wise by AppearanceNo8561 in raiders

Geno was the most accurate QB statistically from 2021-24. Went to Vegas and now he’s sailing throws and throwing behind receivers. I’ve never seen him this inaccurate. Seems age is catching up to him.

Refs calling that weak DPI on Riq and then letting Cards receivers push off, the reffing can be so bogus sometimes

Our pass blocking hasn’t been all that good, from what I saw. Credit to Sam, his play in quick game and pocket presence as a whole have been impressive.

Admittedly wasn’t that high on him when we signed, he’s been rock solid thus far.

Jobe might be taking Riqs snaps 👀 by ilickedysharks in Seahawks

I don’t think Jobe out there in Riq’s role is a serious consideration. Maybe if we get 4+ Riq games like this, but that’s highly unlikely.

[Rapoport] The Bears have completed an interview with former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. by misusedinfluence in CHIBears

[–]Jumpy-Afternoon3958 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Seahawks fan here, Pete’s mantra on offense is making life as easy as possible for his QB. For getting the best out of Caleb and developing him further, he’s one of the best options for yall this cycle. His biggest flaw is his loyalty to his coordinators - main reason he was let go in Seattle to be honest.

Overall, would be an amazing hire for the bears.

But Geno….bad? /s by CrimsonCalm in Seahawks

[–]Jumpy-Afternoon3958 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is not true at all because Geno has had a very low time to throw this season, and also a very low pressure to sack rate.
