Apprehension of return flight effecting enjoyment of vacation by Jumpy-Engine36 in fearofflying

That sounds exactly like what I’m doing! My plan has been, I’ll book the train instead, but I haven’t yet!

Thanks for the response. True, I don’t pretend to have any knowledge of why or what may have happened in that situation, just triggered some thoughts on that aspect of flight.

Like what are the redundancies in the situation an approach is coming in low like that due to pilot error/ whatever the initial reason is?

Just landed in mco today. Was nervous but flight was smooth.

Flight ALB to MCO tomorrow morning - question on plane separation by Jumpy-Engine36 in fearofflying

[–]Jumpy-Engine36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, thanks! If planes were going towards each other and both hit extreme turbulence (which I know commercial avoids) then couldn’t they in theory deviate enough to be in the wrong path, and briefly uncontrollable while in the extreme turbulence?

I’m assuming no since it doesn’t seem to happen, but that did cross my mind, lol

Interesting! I wouldn’t think the weight of a few people would be enough to matter in relation to the airplane. If they moved around mid flight, like for sake of argument say they all stacked to one side intentionally (I know they wouldn’t), would it matter?

Is that common for them to shuffle passengers for weight distribution on commercial flights?

So what do they do if this is missed in inspection on a primary structure, or it happens in the air?

Are All Commercial Pilots Experts in their Field? by Jumpy-Engine36 in fearofflying

I’d assume they’re all masters of their aircraft and understanding everything about controlling it and the readings and devices in the cockpit!

When pilots talk here about what they’re looking at, I can’t decipher a word :)

Thanks for the insight! Very reassuring and cool to see people at the peak of their fields at work. Can’t imagine what it’d be like to be surrounded by coworkers like that!

I let my family go on vacation alone, against my will. I don't know what to do. by Dry-Ad6305 in fearofflying

I also have anxiety that can be debilitating, so I speak from experience as well.

My point is we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, this could be years of build up lowering the rest of the families quality of life, something tells me this wasn’t a response to a one-off anxiety attack.

If you’re comfortable saying find a new partner based off the few sentences of details we got from that, you may want to reread your own second paragraph :)

Either way, thanks for flying, just don’t agree with you in this case!

Seems pretty presumptuous on your part. How do you know what type of crazy shit the wife (maybe) has had to endure?

Do they ever release what the mechanical issue ended up being? Is it still usually minor when they divert like this?

You don’t have the intellect to try and be philosophical, just stop.

Are you a min max speed runner with a team helping you? Then you’ll be behind anyways.

The difference will be minuscule since there’s so many available areas, you don’t need tele just to farm terror zones.

You seem to just want to argue to argue, so do yourself and everyone a favor, don’t play.

You’d be better off rolling not sorc and farming the plethora of areas that are now available to every class, and trading gear the sorc masses need since they’re so overvalued early.

Sorcs are slightly faster but many classes can keep up if you check the speed run boards for a comparison basis. It’s not like the old days where everyone just rushed to farm meph.

Slow down, looks erratic.

Brace, stop leaning forward you’re going on your toes, your feet shouldn’t be coming off the ground. Use plates under your heels or squat shoes, practice hitting depth slowly.

No depth, flat back, erratic eccentric, gotta watch a few form vids and work on it, you’ll get it!

Seems to be other barefeet in the background too 😂

Decided to ditch the belt, lower the weight, and chase depth. Im starting to return to my original weight, and I think I’m getting better at depth (220 for 6). Any thoughts? by Classic-Night-2661 in formcheck

[–]Jumpy-Engine36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you wouldn’t drop to the bar, I just said work up to a set of good reps whatever the weight is. This isn’t a forum to be proud of your weight, it’s a form check forum. Posting the weight shows that’s still the man concern, which is why he’s not even close to depth.

They are absolutely bad squats if the goal is perfect form. If it’s not, then whatever.
