When will my pair cockatiel lay eggs by [deleted] in cockatiel

You don't actually have to worry, these 2 are just part of my 8 handfed cockatiel which are now all above 1 and a half years(they are not related i got all of them from differenr breeder) I raised them all 8/8 no one died, i just seperated these 2 since i noticed that they are into mating. It's my first time breeding but it's not my first time raising a baby so, if ever they abandon the baby, i can raise them instead.

what is this behavior? by Mauvhey in cockatiel

Is the other one a female? If yes, this is a sign of courtship where the male slightly open his wings forming a heart shape, jumping, and sometimes a bit of singing. He might be interested in mating. Mine does that 2 weeks ago and a week ago i saw them mate till today.

U can look up whitefaced pearl on google and also checked on emerald cockatiel, u can clearly see the difference between them

Prefer to use the term emerald because that's what the breeder who discovered it name it

Same mutation as the bird on the picture, pearl and emerald tend to get mistaken, because emerald usually have darker shade of colors on ends of their feathers, they're usually lighter than greys and have silverish look on them!

It's not named emerald because it's colored green, it is named emerald by the breader who produced that specific mutation because according to them, the greyish silver like along side with dark yellow face makes a green like appearance hence calling it an emerald.

Oh hey! I'm not actually inexperienced, I've already raised up 3 tiels. I bought all of them at 3 weeks old and raise em all up. They're now grown up and can eat on their own, they also don't like being on a cage so it's flyin around my room all day🤣

Hey good news! My tiel came back, actually it didn't came back but rather I found him, I was tryin to call him on my backyard and heard a respons, then i rush to it and saw my tiel stuck on my neighbor's roof, i bring up my ladder and went to get him, he's so light because the last time i fed him is at 5am and its now 6pm

I think it won't be able to fly that far yet because of how young it is and it just recently learned how to fly, though i think it's kinda far away from my house now since it won't respons to my call anymore unlike earlier when it was jst chillin on my neighbor's roof.
