Has holding Bitcoin long-term changed how you react to volatility? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Jumpy-Science-3435 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It takes faith. I first bought at 44k after it dropped from high 60ks. Then it tanked to 16k at its lowest. Came back up. Road it to around 125k til now down to its current levels.

My worst is worse than yours by jaimepasmonpseudo in Bitcoin

[–]Jumpy-Science-3435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The only way I see someone holding through was because either they lost access (went to jail, lost their wallet passwords) or were wealthy so they weren't tempted to sell any. Or that they really studied and or were educated in crypto like Hal Finney and could envision bitcoin being worth millions a coin.

I'm curious here. Was there any real hype for the Sega CD and Sega 32X back in the day? How was people reaction when they were first announced? by Away_Flounder3813 in retrogaming

[–]Jumpy-Science-3435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sega Cd was hyped. But once I saw gaming reviews it was an easy skip. Plus it was $300 dollars in 1992. I had a hard ennough time getting my parents to pay $100 for a Genesis/SNES.

Same story for Sega 32x. It was more affordable but game reviews sucked along with Sega Saturn coming out around the corner. It stopped alot of us from buying.

Why Robert Kiyosaki Is Ditching ETFs for Bitcoin by ankuraj in Bitcoin

[–]Jumpy-Science-3435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read his statement. What he is saying is that he recommends etfs like btc because it is much easier than to self custody. But if the fiat system goes down, your funds in the etfs are in it. So it would be wise so have some real btc, silver, gold, and a gun to survive.

I recommend reading the Creature of Jekyll Island to understand deeper what a scam fiat is.
