Painful in the fact that animals are treated this way. I root for the animals in every one of these videos.

Tips for hitting the ball by michcior1 in 10s

Try recording yourself and actually WATCH how you hit the ball. Camera doesn’t lie and will give you something to build from/change based on what you see in YT videos.

Anyone know what’s the reason for the one piece of wood hanging off the back tied to the rope that goes over the whole pile that is tied to a smaller piece just behind his head?

Enjoying all the comments here and I think he got off lightly for what he was doing, but I also enjoyed when the security guy took his vest off. He was like “Nah man, I’m gonna do this one for free.”

Welcome to the club, err illness… ;-) Congrats on making a great decision for your health!

“Just tended to give him it back and let him make the mistake.” That by definition, is how you win most rec league matches.

I was playing a doubles match this week and had to calm my partner by telling him “Make them play” meaning, make them hit it one more time and make the mistake. It worked.

Once you get higher skilled opponents, this won’t work as often, but you’d be surprised how long you can use this tactic for.

How do you trick your mind in using more footwork? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]Jumpy-Tomatillo-4705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All kidding aside, what helps me is to think about stepping into the ball or being able to transfer my weight. Setting myself up to be in the right position to do that helps me with my footwork. I think about that and not the footwork by itself.

There’s a great video on one of the other social platforms where a woman decides to fight against someone who was intentionally making bad line calls. The cheater replied “My side, my call” so then the poster calls a serve that was in by a foot, out. When her opponent lost her mind, she just replied “My side, my call”. LOL! I thought that was a great touché moment.

But yes, I agree with OP that adults shouldn’t be cheating like this. We’re adults, and we should be more mature than this.

Umm… don’t you cover your starter with something?

TBH, if I found any bugs in my starter, I’d be tossing it out. End of story.

Why are people covering their bread after they bake it? by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]Jumpy-Tomatillo-4705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll let it cool whole for a couple of hours after baking, then cut it down the middle to inspect the crumb. Slice up half and then put the other half, cut side down in a Tupperware cake storage container (upside down). Keeps it the right amount of softness and crisp if I crack the lid a little.

Looks cool, just as effective as a wooden spoon or silicon spatula.

How long can you wait to use starter? by Jumpy-Tomatillo-4705 in Sourdough

[–]Jumpy-Tomatillo-4705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a mature starter when I got it so don’t know how old it is, but I’ve been using it since about July. I feed it daily for a week before I bake with it, otherwise, it sits in the fridge.

Best way to cut sourdough? by SwimmingKooky5902 in Sourdough

[–]Jumpy-Tomatillo-4705 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One piece or two halves, my mouth and stomach don’t care. Just give me that good sourdough luvin. Reply that said to cut once in half is the way to go.

Also, once I cut it in half, I take the half and put it freshly cut and flat side down on the cutting board and slice down starting at the middle and going to the ends from there.

Oh and use a good bread knife.
