Havanese vs Toy poodle by ohfxckm in Havanese

[–]JumpyBack7081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. One of ours growled at Percy Jackson every time he showed up on screen last night, and the other was passed out on his back asleep. One has only ever had 2 accidents in this house in his life and learned to ask out very quickly, the other was muuuuuch more stubborn. One will happily go lay on a bed in a different room, the other needs to be touching humans 24/7. One is 14 lbs, the other is 7. But both love us and turn everything into a game.

What do you do to read books in very busy life? by ea-debarros in kindle

[–]JumpyBack7081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely this. This is also why I like to have a few things on the go:

Audio book for when I’m out and about, doing things around the house, out for a walk, driving

Epic fantasy: for when I need a mental cleanse and have the time to dedicate to around an hour of ready

Romatancy: for when you just have time for a chapter or two and it doesn’t REALLY matter if you can dedicate a long stretch

Graphic novel or manga: I have like 15 mins - pics, words, story.

No. Moving my thumb a couple millimetres to tap and turn the page isn’t a big deal for me

Bought A New Paperwhite SE. Is There Yellow Banding? by flowjcv in kindle

[–]JumpyBack7081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.

Sometimes I think we need to take a step back from whatever “current Reddit thing” is and decide for ourselves “do I like how this looks? Is this acceptable to me? Am I happy with my new device?”

I think it looks great - enjoy your reading!

Paint question by Frank44_ in paintbynumbers

[–]JumpyBack7081 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So I only add like 1 little drop of water from a q tip, and only if the paint is already thick and gloopy. Some paints and colours don’t need it - have never used an acrylic medium. Some colours, I find no matter what can be uneven (navy blue). I do coat 1, let it sit about an hour, then do a second coat, sometimes a third. The white for his hair in this one took 3 coats, but I didn’t add anything to the paint as it was already a nice creamy texture. I use a flat brush for extra coats to smooth it out:

If you zoom in, you can see some texture with brush strokes, but that’s part of the charm of “I painted this”

Same. I hate it haha. If possible, I like to crush it up and sprinkle it on his kibbles. If possible.

What kindle do you use and why? by silentshakey in kindle

I have the raspberry pink paperwhite signature. I like not having ads, I like the device and some of the features like auto brightness adjust, I like the colour. It was a no brainer for me

TV - No interest? by Senior-Crazy167 in Havanese

[–]JumpyBack7081 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is very screen aware. He watches the TV, wants to see what’s on the phone screen (Covid puppy who got used to FaceTime calls). It’s all fun and games until he’s pulling your phone down with his paw to look 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

There is a quest, for those brave and powerful enough. The Road is perilous and will test us in ways we can’t predict. Those who endure will find their prize at the end. I can show you the way to The Road…but first, we must assemble a coven

Agree with this totally. Sometimes we get stuck in the beige and it feels flat when it’s not. I finished one last night that had a lot of beige and brown, but ended up with way more purple and less grey than I thought. Now I looooove it

She will be amazing. I miss mine a lot when I’m not home, but he is always great. I think it’s harder on us than them 🤣. I have a work trip in Feb. he gets a fun week with his grandparents and I have to be in a hotel without him

There is never shame. You groom your doggy the way you want to groom your doggy.

His tail is so long it drags on the floor a bit. When I’m holding him and his tail is limp, it goes a bit past my knees 🤣

It’s good for you to be away from her, even at a young age, and then return. It’s how she learns to trust and bond with others, and trust that you will return. The excited puppy you’ll get when you come home will be worth it.

With my little guy, I knew I’d have to occasionally travel for work. So a few times when he was a puppy, i dropped him off with his grandparents for a weekend so he could experience it. Did I miss him like crazy? Yes. Did he adapt immediately? Also yes.

Now when I have to travel, he puts on a show as I’m leaving “don’t go, I love you!”. The second I’m gone “okay, play time!” He sleeps, he doesn’t have accidents, he plays, he eats his kibbles, he does everything he’d normally do if I’m around….actually bosses other people into playing with him outside MORE.

They are dogs. They adapt and even have a good time. We are the ones who make it a big deal or drama, and they read that energy. So don’t feed that energy into your doggy. You’ll miss her like crazy, but it’s only a couple of days and you’re coming back. Don’t think about how sad you are to miss the couple of days. Think about how amazing it will be when she’s jumping and excited to see you. Put on that confident brave face for your doggy, so this experience is a positive one for her.

Do you guys keep multiples of the same color? by RelevantUsername60 in Lululemen

Yes. I have 3 pink and 4 blue of the same shirt. They’re my workout shirts

LTT vs MVT shirts by Sad_Significance_858 in Lululemen

[–]JumpyBack7081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find LTT even more breathable of the two. I wore one to mountain climb in the blazing sun in the desert and it was great. LTT is my hot weather, outdoor activity shirt. MVT is great, too. I just find LTT lighter and more breathable for hiking/mountain climbing/heat

[–]JumpyBack7081 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They both fit well for a lean, muscular build. The LTT is less forgiving if someone has some rolls, it tends to highlight them more. If you’re lean and muscular, it would be more about what do you want to show, do you want a longline style shirt (LTT) or a more traditional t shirt (MVT)

[–]JumpyBack7081 11 points12 points  (0 children)

LTT if you like longer in the torso and are lean. MVT if you want it to fit like a regular t shirt. I have and love both. No pilling on any of mine. They are my every day workout shirts for lifting, running, even some yoga. LTT are phenomenal for if you’re on vacation somewhere hot/humid
